That I will purposely abandon a match early and take the penalty to “reset” especially if I’m in the classic “hard stuck at plat 4” phase of the split and I’m already close to getting a tier demotion protection.Which btw, I also think they should’ve pushed back the release of season 11 to allow a regularly allotted time for this second half split. Either that or they better make the first half split longer than normal because we were not given enough time to grind due to the server issues a few weeks ago.

@DaDeDimson Make sure your goals are feeling healthy to you. I want to recommend watching this video a well-known Overwatch coach made some time back. I set a goal this season for KDR and, while I'm close to on track to meet it, I'm finding that it's now causing unhealthy behavior. I get angry at myself for having a bad day, just ruin the rest of my day malding. Yesterday, I left two matches after being knocked in the first fight. Now, these two games were probably hopeless anyway, but this is something I wouldn't ordinarily do. Thankfully I'm self-aware enough to take heed of the signs and change my mental. Just make sure you're taking care of yourself, buddy!

@DaDeDimson you need to be more strict with yourself and set a lose limit of maby 100 in a night and then stop. Mine is around 60-70. It's almost like a gambler chasing financial losses. Know when to fold em 😃

@DaDeDimson I know. My limit is for gold. But still maby set the limit lose points in 2 matches and call it a day. Esp if you are getting frustrated, your muscles will tighten up and you won't play as well as you can. If u get potatoes, or hot drop potatoes as in my case, u need to go straight into survival mode and go for placement. Only a few points got, but not a loss of points.

I've also gotten into the habit of stopping after a certain number of rounds when I realize I'm not going to make it today.I have good days where my aim is abnormal good and some days where my aim is so bad that I wounder what's going on so I play pubs to warm up as well but it's really visible if you can play ranked today or not 🙂

@DaDeDimson The more I get frustrated, the more I "try harder", the more I lose. LOL. Climbing plat II to diamond IV is just a bad experience and an intense grind.

@Cheese9Man And the more at risk I get of needing to buy a new controller too lol. Yeah I get that, if I have 2 or 3 matches in a row of just bad and/or poorly planned hot drops then I tell myself “no more hot drops and if the JM takes me to one I’m landing elsewhere” even though that leads me to solo queue the rest of the way for minimal RP gain.

I will also blame my own gun selection then try to figure out “which one feels right” for the day even though it was probably okay the previous several weeks, excluding any buffs or nerfs lol.
