Call me crazy but sometimes I get so frustrated by losing 300+ RP in one night

That I will purposely abandon a match early and take the penalty to “reset” especially if I’m in the classic “hard stuck at plat 4” phase of the split and I’m already close to getting a tier demotion...

@DaDeDimson The more I get frustrated, the more I "try harder", the more I lose. LOL. Climbing plat II to diamond IV is just a bad experience and an intense grind.

@Cheese9Man And the more at risk I get of needing to buy a new controller too lol. Yeah I get that, if I have 2 or 3 matches in a row of just bad and/or poorly planned hot drops then I tell myself “no more hot drops and if the JM takes me to one I’m landing elsewhere” even though that leads me to solo queue the rest of the way for minimal RP gain.

I will also blame my own gun selection then try to figure out “which one feels right” for the day even though it was probably okay the previous several weeks, excluding any buffs or nerfs lol.

    @DaDeDimson I feel you. LOL! As long as I still have my dive trail (shhhh), I won't be doing ranked.

    Make sure your goals are feeling healthy to you. I want to recommend watching this video a well-known Overwatch coach made some time back.

    I set a goal this season for KDR and, while I'm close to on track to meet it, I'm finding that it's now causing unhealthy behavior.  I get angry at myself for having a bad day, just ruin the rest of my day malding.  Yesterday, I left two matches after being knocked in the first fight.  Now, these two games were probably hopeless anyway, but this is something I wouldn't ordinarily do.  Thankfully I'm self-aware enough to take heed of the signs and change my mental.

    Just make sure you're taking care of yourself, buddy!

      @pandareno1999Wow that's a great video. THANKS! Streamers definitely need to watch this but I guess their rage moments are part of their "content".

      @pandareno1999 I do appreciate that, it doesn’t take much for me to get worked up so I feel that. That + the pandemic the past 1.5 years has made many people, including myself, more wound up from being inside more (unless you were someone who preferred being home and not going out much) and getting irritable over stuff like this. Good looking out 👍

        @DaDeDimson I got very worked up this evening over a 24 point loss. I got dc and came back just in time for the squad death placed 20! I think 2 of us had gotten dc as one had the red dc in their banner when I got there and were not dead. It takes about 2 seconds after you arrive and can see the game, for the actual rejoin to start properly. I did not throw my controller across the room, but I was driven to certain well known expletives 😃
