Can Car be a light ammo gun or was this a bug?

Tonight while warming up in bot royale I got a Car Smg right after the drop and it showed as being a light ammo weapon instead of the usual heavy ammo.  Was this intentional or just a bug?  Anyone el...

The car can also use light ammo. I don’t know if it ever comes pre loaded with light though.

i wonder if you have only light ammo, if it assumes to be loaded with light when you pick it up?
