CHARGE RIFLE
The new CHARGE RIFLE weapon is too strong, should be from the drop like Mastiff or kraber, everyone is running with this rifle now.
It is strong. But it is a rifle that in its current state fits into the new map. It is VERY good at controlling open spaces.
For the user of charge rifle, it give an option to not let enemies run through the fields and thus delay engagements in close quarters. In close quarters, if charge rifle is not supplemented by a cqc weapon, such as an smg or at least wingman, the charge rifle user is DEAD vs non charge-rifle user.
For the one being attacked with the charge rifle while running out in the open, there are plenty of rocks to hide behind and coordinate cover-to-cover movement with teammates distracting CR user. If that is not an option, rotation through a different route would be a priority and taking risks, but still could potentially be better than being aimed at with the charge rifle. It is not true that EVERYONE carries a charge rifle now.
The CR MUST exist in loot spawns, but changes to ammo use and shot to shot delay could be improved, but not much else. This is an area-denial weapon, basically, preventing users from entering a certain area. Contrast to other snipers, CR WILL hit you 99% of time, other snipers - it would require immense skill, even for Kraber.
Or I could hop on the hate train and say Charge Rifle BAD Nerf PLZ.
@JohnTraviltaI can understand your points and the other players. But a triple take with a choke can't go toe to toe with a charge rifle. You'll be dead in 2 zaps from a charge rifle even w/ full purple shields. I have yet to kill someone in 2 shots with a Triple Take, I guess it possible with head shots and no helmet or some situation like that.
It's sort of my opinion that all rifles should be able to go toe to toe with each other. That currently is not true. Granted they all sort of have their strong points.
The only big negative I see to the charge rifle is that it gives your EXACT location away to the entire map for a long period of time. The zaps are extremely noticeable and very easy to see exactly where your shooting from. So if you're third partying a group with Charge rifles you have a small advantage.
The other big negative is that you sort of get a warning you're being shot.. The build up before the main/full zap lets you know you're being hit and to move.
But the charge rifle can be over powering. How ever, other guns in the game can be overpowering as well... Kraber can basically 1 shot knock people with head shots. No one complains about that being nerfed..
