@hayhorI'm not pumping money into this game as it is, especially not for heirlooms. I spent a good bit here and there on individual cosmetics. But heirlooms are a massive investment in a single legend, and I like playing several legends. That keeps changing as they add more. I'd be surprised if most players have more than one, if any at all.
So why give 150 shards to someone like me? Because it might actually bait me into finally spending on more heirlooms.
For instance, if they gave me 150 shards for the anniversary, and also dangled this event in front of me, I'd all but certainly buy it. The chance to get two heirlooms for my favorites would be too good to pass up. Not only that, with two down I'm more likely to buy more in the future.
On second thought...EA pretend you didn't read that. I'm fine not opening Pandora's box here lol!!
