Completely screwed up my aim permanently?

you’ll eventually build up the muscle memory but constantly switching like that won’t help

for ADS, make sure you turn off the separate seanitivity for the different scopes if you don’t really need it, it was added in an update while ago and was turned on for me and i hated it

Not sure what you mean by wrist or arm aimer?  I’m a console player.  I’m assuming your statement is directed  towards pc aiming ....

I went through that whole first post making the same assumption but now I have absolutely no idea what to say. XP for falling into that trap so I didn't have to.

I played 4/4 since launch of Apex.

Lately i was using 4/3 Staycation streamer settings in Ads Look sensitivity settings. Pretty good but i want to try 4/4 again.

What I did was spend pretty much a whole day in firing range setting up custom response curves. 

I used to struggle a lot with fine movement because of the inner deadzone setting in premade response curves, what this means is that the stick needs to be titled up to a certain minimum angle before it registers movements, so you tilt slightly, it doesn't do anything, you tilt a bit further, now it does activate, but you immediately overturn.

This made it very hard to hit with a wingman on targets at range for example.

I'd suggest putting in the time to use custom settings and completely eliminating the inner deadzone, this way, very small tilts of the joystick will register very small adjustments. The difference I noticed was large and immediately apparent trying that out in the firing range. Even more so in actual matches.

As for settings, the only real rule you should probably follow is to set vertical sensitivity to 60/70% of the value's of horizontal sensitivity.

Good luck, and let me know if removing inner deadzone helps you with fine aim. Do take note tho that this requires the analog sticks and mechanisms to be good, on older controllers after some wear and tear, this may cause your reticle to slowly drift when you do not move it. You may have to use a new controller for that.

Thanks for all the responses guy.  So I’m assuming to just go back to going without the Kontrolfreek the way I use to play or is there any viability to actual using it for console players ?

I’m playing on 22 inch monitor .  I know people swear by higher fov but right now I’ve been constantly switching back and forth between 90-96 and 100.  Is the higher fov the way to go ?

I have a new controller by the way so not getting any drifting of the sort.  Between classic and steady which would be better for twitchy aiming at times?  Hesitant to use advanced look options because it just seems like it could over complicate things for me even more which is the problem i think I’m having right now where im overthinking my aiming.

The premade curves will not help you aim smoother since they all have a large inner deadzone.

You can try to experiment with it in firing range, can switch back premade curves without losing the settings. Those are always saved.

And I would recommend 110 FOV.
