"Dead game" - Twitter

Best doesn't necessarily mean great.

I think Season 12 was one of the best, but there are problems that are chronic at this point.  And honestly I do not care too much about how popular Apex is.  Pop culture game is exactly what this has become, appealing to a lot of low brow gaming.  I mean a Honda Accord is a pretty popular car, and you'd be proud if you had Honda stock, but does that mean it is the best vehicle for every person on the road?  Are you going to go bragging about owning one at your next social affair?

Apex has core issues that aren't getting solved.  So, sometimes the games is fun to play and sometimes the game is more fun griefing others with, and sometimes the game is better ignoring.  It isn't uninstalled by any measure, but once the milestones are hit, there isn't a lot else going on with Apex.  It's sort of like your favorite disease in a way.

Not knocking the good parts but what is creative about Apex is not the game.  It is wonderful eye candy, has really great marketing, great videos, lore that so does not matter, but is entertaining.  Oh, and then there's this gun game thing too, and a facade of team play.   You don't want to follow the way Apex markets itself if you want to even enjoy this part of Apex though.  You go in as rah rah team game, and come out playing alone to do better and have more fun.  

Best single player shooter that advertises itself as a team game...is that an award category they could sell commercials with?
