difficulty on the game solo vs squad?

So, im wondering, does the game let you go against more experienced players if you squad up with friends? because when i play solo i do lots of damage, even win a  couple of games, get the to be the kill leader, but when i squad up with my friends i do really bad, i barely do any damage even when im trying my best.

is it just my imagination? or the game works that way?

  • @Iris_cX12 Their is no SBMM is normal squads.
    In ranked you'll be matched with players of the same level as the highest level player in your squad.
    Ie your friend is Diamond you are Bronze, you'll be matched with Diamond players.
  • @Jimmahwd yeah im aware of the matchmaking in ranked, but this happens in normal games, every single game i play with my friends i do horrible, but when i solo queue i do good, its weird lol
  • @Iris_cX12 Are you teammates taking the kills you normally would get?

    I do amazing solo as well but once I party up, my team brings me down as I am constantly trying to protect them and move much slower than when I Q with randoms.

    @iBlockHead well we move together and close i dont know if thats the issue, i get kills, but solo i get around 4 or 5, then i get 1 max 2

    thats why im wondering, i mean i think they are better than me but that doesnt mean my skill will go to the crapper if i queue up

    @Iris_cX12 Same happens to me.
    I play with my son, get 3-4 kills.
    Play with friends or even randoms drop 12-15 kills consistently.
    It's all in your head. 🙂
  • yeah i think its just me, guess ill need to keep on practicing

    thanks everyone!

  • Full premade squads are preferrably matched with other full squads. I don't think this has ever been stated officially, but I'm 99% sure such algorithm is in place. No idea what it does if there are not enough players for either squad/solo games - probably ditches the rule out the window and mixes everyone together, but anyway, you should still encounter more full premades if you start in one yourself.

    That may or may not feel different sometimes (grouping up does not increase player's skill, so facing more premades doesn't mean it will be harder or easier).
