- @pastaclown can you make a single post for this article. i will help u pin to top by manually. just please humiliate respawn more.
- @johnmiceter ?????????? Fortnite's successful is because they keep creating new contents right? i never play fortnite but i heard they always create a lot of new contents for seasons.
Why work on STORE more to suck players money? i earn so many weapon charms but i only can put one each weapon then why i must collect so many? the cosmetic skin not adding any buff in game or i can change skin in game then why push me spend so much money for these useless stuff? just want to look cool in game?
when i fighting i really dun have much chance to see teammates or enemy wearing cool skin and when shooting the fire sparks so big already blind everything. not even mention in the dark area can barely see clearly.
so what the develop team suppose to do with the STORE man? - @LaTencyBuLLyMe Well Apex is a free game so the devs need to make money to work on things otherwise how is it profitable to keep making new content ?
Fortnite made about 1 billion dollars i heard from their shop alone and you dont have to buy things if you dont want to.
But if your playing a game for a long time, people like to buy stuff and it keeps the game alive. - @johnmiceter Yes, they do. I follow all the devs on Reddit and Twitter, always read the interesting insights they share, some devs always make lots of thread regarding the current Apex situation.
Are all devs as interactive? Nope.
Is it enough? Nope, most players don't come to forums/Twitter, etc so that limits them from taking part in the discussion and being aware of devs thinking process. There should be some in-game stuff where all these dev interaction can be linked in one place, instead of resorting to different social media. - @johnmiceter Afaik the people who work on store etc have never interacted with the community. By dev most people mean programmers and such and they get all the hate for bad store items while these e-commerce team or whatever they call themselves hide behind their mom's skirt.
They have made some changes based on community feedback, which was passed on from lead game designer to them. But it's very minute and needs lot of work.. - @johnmiceter in touch? yes
listening? NO - @johnmiceter Fortnite (the game, not merch) made almost 2 billion... 1 billion is just from mobile version it seems (just looked it up)
And so, the 'Players Opinions Matter" movement is born! Now, we need a badge in the game, and our own history month.
But hey, I am wondering, do you happen to know if any devs from other EA games represented on AHQ do actually come here? Because, you know, "Answers HQ (AHQ) is more than a support forum — it's a global community focused on players helping players." (official quote).
- @Koochi-Q Yeah I was into fortnite when it first came out as not many could build towers in secs and I enjoyed it back then. I used to build my little 2 story hut and sit in there and shoot, it was fun 😂.
But I read about how much theynwere making from outfits and dance moves alone and not sure why the Apex devs havent sorted their store out after 2 years now - @johnmiceter If they work on the store, people will say they only care about the money and clearly not listening to the community that has other pressing matters 🙂
Also, pouring more money and increasing team size does not mean issues will get resolved faster or even at all. There's that joke with getting 9 moms to make a child in 1 month. Not only that you won't, but you'll end up running a nursery in 9 months 🙂
Aaanyway, this is where devs coming around would benefit everyone. They could try sharing some of their wisdom, helping us go past Dunning Kruger's Mt. Stupid and maybe also survive the Valley of Despair to reach the Slope of Enlightenment.
