First off: changed your sensitivity in what way that is yielding noticably better recoil control? The only change I ever made that resulted in better control was so slow that it took fifteen minutes to make a quarter turn. Better aim at the cost of ALL mobility was not a trade off that worked in the real world, I can tell you.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the algorithm takes into account your accuracy. This isn't something they want to be public knowledge because it would be pitifully easy to game just by shooting into the air every so often. But it fits the symptoms.

if SBMM was affected by damage output, I wouldn't be seeing people with trillions damage on level 20 accounts...
- 3 years ago@damsonwhufndthis There is a huge difference in average damage per game and total lifetime damage done. OP is referring to damage per game - it will put you in higher skill lobbies by default if it is high. 4k Badge players will not stay in low level lobbies.
