EA account banned for ‘harassment’

My apex account just got banned for harassment and what’s crazy is my nephew with ADHD without my consent went into my account and spouted all this nonsense and weird stuff but I’m yet to even see how any of it is even harassment to begin with.

I have life stress and I have work stress. I play games to relieve that stress and I have horrible anxiety but I spent whatever I had left for hobbies on apex and all those hours I wasted… And yet I can’t do anything both my cases have been declined and EA doesn’t care about the mental state of their players nor do they care about anything but money. The staff members themselves are AI’s and take days to respond and give the lousiest most horrendously NPC responses. They’ll decline your case with NO reasoning besides, “we found it to be the right punishment.”

I go on business trips for my company and I don’t even get to play as often but when I do I play a lot and they just snatched that all away from me. How can I even tell my sister that I’m furious at my teenage nephew that has ADHD for getting my account banned? How could I possibly blame him? It is definitely his fault but I can’t help to notice that in this world many different people have many different situations. And not being able to WHATSOEVER account for that is actually shameless. Now a staff member is gonna respond like an AI and go about their stupid day declining people who have justified cases.

    The EA staff here at AHQ cannot help directly with bans, only the TOS team can do that.

    Ultimately you are responsible for the management of your account, and are responsible for the actions of anyone that abuses it. Imo your case, while very emotionally compelling, is not as justified as you state.

    For example you could have simply turned on 2 factor authentication on your account, to prevent this happening.

    @OldTreeCreeper This is false. I had 2FA on. My sister lives with me in my parents house due to her circumstances and my computer resides there. My emails and everything are present on my computer, he accessed it since we live in the same house. Don’t open your mouth if you don’t know my situation. IMO you’re just an idiot who has no idea what he’s spouting.

    @MustajabR 2fa was an example, you left a door open for him to find a way to get into your account. Still your responsibility imo regardless of your situation. You will have to live with the consequences and be more careful in the future. You will need to curtail his access to anything important to you on your computer. Maby set him up an account as a seperate user on your pc or lock him out completely.

    Best of luck.

    @MustajabR

    As @OldTreeCreeper (OTC) mentioned your account your responsibility.

    Sorry to hear that happened to you either way.

    If/when you make a new account you should take the advice that OTC mentioned and secure that account.
