  • @bigreddeerhunter I feel the same! And they DID change it! I get the aesthetics of the super soaker, but that is not what I paid for. I propose that anyone who purchased the skin within an hour of purchasing currency should get heirloom shards. That is the only acceptable solution.

I suspect that over the next couple of decades, law around this sort of practice is going to be further developed.

They did the right thing by issuing a tweet about the sights two days after the gun became available for purchase— but I do feel like there are a group of people who didn’t see said response and purchased the skin thinking it was going to stay like that. Obviously we can criticize these people for not knowing better but the bottom line is that it still feels kind of sketchy.

I’m actually still a bit salty that they changed the Heatsink flatline skin. It drives home the point that they currently have full power to change things after consumers commit to them. I guess the question becomes, “at what point do changes become too egregious?”

Hypothetically, what would the consequences be if they completely redesign the entire aesthetic of a skin after its been purchased— I’m talking color scheme, iron sights, and overall design. At what point would it be *too much* of a change?

@Axs5626Sxa5001 They've shown where the line is when they refunded people that bought the wattson skin that looked completely different than it was meant to. Sights are not a look. Also, didn't the tweet for the recent skin come out hours after release, not days?

I know this- My kd and win rate hasn't changed due to the heatsink change. And I have yet to see data where people show any of the supposed pay to win sights really affect their stats.

Don't really have anything new to add on, though...

Players can also buy legends, and well, you can't exactly refund them because they get changed.

I'm not sure what part of the agreement specifically underlines the fact that they can change already bought items, though it's a pretty normal thing.

And well, these skins are supposed to be fair, so players should technically only buy them for what they look like.

Any variations between the sights is practically something that IMO shouldn't happen, though some have them. (But that doesn't mean they can't change this later on)
