Happy Vault Key Hunting

Just wondering how every bodys hunt for these keys is going. Seems they change the loot drone to actually show if hes carrying a key (indicated by a red light on the usual pattern. ) 

In the 4 games ive played today it seems like the loot drones have seem more scarce? Out of those 4 i landed at the geyser area twice and had to look elsewhere for them. But once I found them they were pretty easy to get since the new red light indicator. 

Ive acquired 2 keys in 2 different games. One was out of a legendary and the other was out of a rare drone. So maybe it doesnt matter when its shot down as long as it has the red light indicator. 

Only in one of those games where i found the keys did i actually make it to a vault. I was able to leave with fully decked out equipment but didnt find any weapons in the vault only attachments of purple rating that specific time. But it definitely didnt seem like there was enough items in there for a full squad.

So i expect there to be alot of greedyness going around once your legend announces hes picked up a key. Seems like only the key holder can unlock the vault also, because my team had ran to a different vault the moment it was announced to them i had one. 

All in all, it felt pretty nice opening up a vault. Hows everyone elses expiriences going so far with the hunt?

    @InfinyMage  After I found out about the keys I logged on to see. Without hunting drones I went through the train station. I then seen a drone with red markings, shot it down and had one in my position on first try. My team and I located a vault, I pinged it and we went. Fought two teams along the way but when getting to the door encountered another. Needless to say we lost the battle and I never got to open the door. Was going to try again but will have to do so tomorrow seeing as though I am going to a concert tonight. Definitely a fun addition to the game. It's things like this that keep the entertainment value high. Good job Respawn/EA.

    @ColdHours I collected one earlier but even though I Kept pinging to my team mates that I had a key and to move to the caves, they wouldn't move off their sniper perch.
    Frustrating as I didn't get to use it.
    Luckily a couple games later a teammate who actually had two thumbs got one and we were able to grab some serious loot but no Weapon.

    I hope your able to get into the vault soon. Its a pretty good feeling in itself and I enjoy the occasional side objective of trying to find the key and also make it to a vault. It seems that its also shifted the fighting away from the usual couple hotspots since now some players are trying to also secure either a key and vault access or simply an ambush on a possible key holder for said vault acess. It definitely is another level of freshness 🙂

    On the attempt which i actually made it to a vault i had to do it by myself. My teammates had ran to the vault by the geyser and were engaged in a fight. (They survived and we regrouped later) but i instead ended up by the vault by lava city. Had it not been for me having chosen pathfinder that game, i wouldnt have made it to the vault since the ring was closing and we barely made it to the safe zone. We ended up i believe in top 5 3rd squad out.

    Also seems like the amount of legendary gear in general has skyrocketed. By that i mean that ive noticed its slightly more common for you to find some off other players than it was prior to them adding the keys for the vault. So it feels rewarding in itself when you kill other enemy squads because youll likely amass good gear that way more so than before.

    @InfinyMage What are the vault keys for except good loot. I was in an area and the doors required a vault key. Either in that same match or few matches afterwards a teammate picked up a vault key...

    @InfinyMage My team and I have found a total of 5 keys today in a span of 3 matches. One match all 3 of us got possession of a key and the only drones that a key had the red light on it. I was able to get into 3 vaults and get the loot in it. It was so satisfying. The first key I got I went to the vault just to get ambushed, I watched as the enemy team went and looted the vault.
