Help me choose a new loadout
I don't know if everything's so well balanced now. Or the random mashup gameplay makes every weapon equally useless. Either way, I really can't decide. R99 CAR Either of these good? Or is the Vol...
Just had a 5/4/6 1825dmg running a Flatine in singlefire and a p2020. Using Ash.
So my current thought is...
Set 1:
Midrange (AR)
Very Close range (pistol/shotgun - could go SMG)
In this set, having an AR with single fire for longer mid range, and switching to auto in close entanglements. With the vclose range for quick damage in those intimate moments.
Set 2:
Mideange (Marksman)
Close range (SMG)
Gone with SMGs here for the close range as there is that crossover gap where a very close range and a marksman won't do well at.
Set 3:
Long range (Sniper)
Midrange (AR)
Similar here. If you go sniper and close range you could get caught out at Midrange.
I'm probably going to favour set 1 for now and see how I'll get on.
I'll base my weapons selection based on what main weapon I fancy running, then pick up what's available. And potentially allow attachments influence selection .... if running set 1 but I have a purple energy mag I may pick it a volt as my close range. My AR will be Flat, 301, or Hem based on whats available and what attachs I have.
This also makes me a bit freer to switch between sets mid game with not too much thinking.

"Better players gravitate towards the meta and never stand still."
I'm oblivious to the meta, but the motion I notice. And it irritates me. Especially when it's obviously mnk motion, but I'll say no more lest this degenerates into another pc vs. console mud sling, or worse, aim assist hand wring.
My takeaway there is sheer wonder at the notion of using any automatic, even an AR, as a midrange weapon. I know people do it. I've seen it on YouTube. It always looks to me like "proof of aimbotting," but I know that isn't always the case, or probably even often the case. It sure does look like it though.
