@sTeAmAAAAAAA I would like to know too. It would be nice to know why they can't make a single or duo mode permanent. My thoughts are is that they're scared. Scared that if they change the way they wanted this game to be then the dream and fulfillment will be gone. It seems like they're forcing people to play a certain way. But with how many people play games only a certain percentage will bend to this will. The rest will be left frustrated and eventually leave. Now making a once great title nothing more than a footnote, All you'll hear is, "remember Apex legends that was a good game but such and such just ruined it". This is the future if they don't acknowledge what the primary base is saying. I understand there are plans for things. But such as life plans change. If you meaning them, don't learn to adapt and deem themselves too great for such a thing they will reap the rewards of arrogance. Now die hard fans will be quick to argue. But die hard fans alone cannot fund such an enterprise. If monetary gain is the outcome for putting time and effort into such an title then they have to read the crowd. It's almost like a DJ in a sense. When the DJ plays music, especially ones they like and the crowd at the time doesn't appreciate it the DJ must be able to read that and move on. If the DJ is too arrogant in thinking what the crowd should like and continues on they will be left with an empty venue. Now duos or solos are not really my thing but I could see myself playing them time to time. So it really wouldn't hurt to have them placed in. It would still be a battle royal game just not forced pairing. All in all the ball is ultimately in their court. How they choose to use that will decide what will and will not happen.
Half the games you get chucked into are solo or duo anyway with the sheer amount of disconnects. 🤓
- @sTeAmAAAAAAA I won solo and duo recently. Why add them when they're already in the game? 🙂
Oh god, yes please!
- @Kimsey02 I would like to see duo as well.
+1 To this. I have found picking up a third player for premade duos is just broken.
My friend and I played about 15-20 games last night and by the time we landed were duo half to 3/4 of those times.
I am not going to lie 90% of the time we play better that way anyways, but it is nice to get a 3rd meat shield in the mix.
We have been talking about how great it would be to put in a duos mode as most of the people we play with are rapid filling squads when on and alot of them are running duos and just looking for a third which is kind of crappy, but it is what it is.
So yeah duos would be great.
Duo's would play out pretty much the same as trios. It's really not that different.
Solo vs squad differs a lot (and not only due to non-social vs social difference). Compared to that, variations on squad size really don't change gameplay that much (well, if we consider 2-4; a 10-man squad would definitely feel a lot different).
Yes. I have been asking for this for awhile now.
- @Biochemikas is not the same, is just much people play with a friend but the 3rd random ruin the match.
The main problem i see is that very common a third player is missing from the squad (or leaving). When this happens your chance to win gets smaller at the first second. This is why i would much appreciate a duo option. They did put an penalty function on this to prevent from people leaving the party. I think this function would ruin the game at first hand. If they put in a duo option they would find a way between this all and everybody would be happy. No leaving people and winning could still be possible against 2 peeps. take a look at fortnite (trash game). This game is huge and they put in a duo option from the start. Why did;nt ea put a duo from the start and how would it hurt the game? In my opinion if ea would put in a duo option Apex would only get bigger!! Lets make this happen
