Me and my friends just play rank and when we reach Gold, we stop and go back to casual. How do you guys ranked? Do you prioritise RP by killing people and hopefully win or more on going to the circle first to hold position? Just wanna ask since we want to go to plat and diamond eventually this season. Cheers!

the way I play ranked is, solo queue, meet new idiots, drop, die, lose RP, rage, then repeat.

@BaldWraithSimp yesterday I was with a couple of idiots who were just watching me getting * by a full squad which we could have kicked their * easily if they just pushed with me.when I got killed I requested them not to collect my banner as I don't want to torture my self with them again because I knew that they are idiots, but still, they have taken my banner and respawned me, so I jumped out of the map again the told them not to take my banner but guess what ....they collected the * banner againthe result after the second respawn was that I dragged them into an enemy team so they can be put to rest 🙂

@EryxApex That only works up into platinum a bit, maybe into diamond. You won't make master and predator without getting kills most rounds. The placement RP is simply not enough.

I just prioritize survival, if you make it to top three your guaranteed RP and i just assume that everyone i play against is a million times better than me, if a baddie looks at me i will not shoot at him if i see someone down, i will sneak a kill, if their not looking at me I will shoot unless i'm caught off guard then just shoot like crazy.Billy Bishop said in a book i read that surprise and accuracy are very important and he was an ace pilot during the first world war, with 72 victories."Billy Bishop, The courage of the early morning" i recommend anyone that really wants to understand warfare read it. The book was wrote by William Arthur BishopI don't understand why everyone runs in this game, when you run you lose the element of surprise and let the baddies get the drop on you.I think the weapons you have in this game kinda make the element of surprise less effective because a baddie can turn around and kill you during a 1v1.their should be an attack bonus for shooting someone in the back, in battle field it was an instant knife kill if you catch someone off guard.I don't agree with that for long distance but short range that attack bonus should be present.. or something because it is quite hard to take someone by surprise in this game with bloodhounds over powered ability and crypto... This game is about survival and not like a team death match..not sure why they play it like that because the wait time is crazy if you die in this game, you would be better off playing team death match in COD or conquest in Battle field because you respawn immediately after death and can keep in the game. Apex is not like that...

@Cheese9Man Seems like those who aim for higher ranks stay hidden until they are over the negative RP limit, then third party as if their dog's life depended on it... Others again, actually play the game and fly through ranked ladder on their skill. Anyone can hide their way to Platinum IV, and then they are hard stuck untill the next split... Must be boring.

Also, Olympus makes it worse cuz if you so much as shoot a bullet, the whole server will be on your *.

@Cheese9Man Gold lobbies? You run around killing people. Platinum is where the cautious approach is required.

I got from Silver IV to Silver III yesterday. Mostly had good games.
One game our LL d/c on drop but fortunately me and Octane dropped somewhere where nobody else did. We agreed to just hang out so we wouldn't lose RP. We had a great time bouncing around on jump pads. After about seven minutes an enemy squad of two entered the building next door so we went in and slaughtered them.
Eventually the ring moved us from our base and I got knocked with our next engagement. Octane tried to res me but he got eliminated. I think we finished third.
Happy days.

@Cheese9Man Hello Legend.

I play ranked mainly and can safely tell you that it is a cruise all the way up to platinum. You can get out of gold solo queuing easily and it really isn’t that tough. I struggle a bit more this season due to the new map but give me kings canyon and I’ll get out in around 2-3 days Max.

Plat is a different ball game, it’s hard. I said on a separate thread the other day that anyone who can get out of Plat solo is just on another level.

I can’t really sus out how to get out of ranked yet, the level and ability of players is high. If you try and hide the whole time, you’ll just get pumped by another team. Ideally you want to get a couple of kills each (take out 2 squads) and then wait until the final ringish...

Some teams just come in, get about 8 kills each and move on it’s mental...
