How do you push through Diamond to get Master?

Hi Guys,

The last few Seasons i started playing ranked and got as far as Diamond.

Season 10 i am trying to push through Diamond to get to Master.

I can solo queue through Platinum without any problems, it starts to get interesting in the Diamond Lobbies.

I tried pushing through Diamond for over a week now, got as far as Diamond 3 and here i bump into 2 problems.

1 - When i solo Queue i almost always get teamed up with Diamond 4 players, that seem to get fresh out of Plat and have no clue what they are doing.

2 - When i do finally have a good run with 2 Randoms and we decide to team up, we always getting into Master/Pred Lobbies.

Both 1 and 2 are a big problem for me to push towards Master.

I am only 13 years of age, still got a lot to learn, and i really do want to learn. But it seems like i am more mature then most players i find in Diamond lobbies.

And its hard for me to find a few friends to play with, most people are not interested in playing with a 13 year old.

Whats your suggestion?

Play more pubs and get better and try again in a few seasons?

Or are there any clans / Clubs interested in a 13 year old , that is far from his prime and can learn lots more?

I dunno, kinda stuck in place atm , and i want to get better!

I play on PC!

Regards,

Ruffneck

  • @Ruffneck_303_TTV I made it up into DIII on my own, . before I gave up on trying to grind it with randoms.

Here are the things I have noticed..

People don't play as a team, they wonder off from each other too much. Someone bumps into a 3 stack gets focus fired to death.. That then leaves the squad at a massive disadvantage and in a very difficult position.

Pay attention to the legends on your team and play into their strengths. Caustics and Wattson sort of need to play for positioning. They don't have mobility or any real heavy hitting abilities for open spaces. That's not to say they can't be good in open spaces but they really shine in buildings or high ground areas.. Even just a rock, tree or cluster of boxes can really help them out.

Pay attention to the ring locations. Some rings are definitely easier to rotate to late then other rings a good example is when the final rings are in/around Estates. It's hard to survive a push into Estates if you have a different squad on each main building cluster already, a squad or two on the ledge.. All of the squads who are set up are going to be focused on eliminating your squad as you try to rotate into ring.

Sometimes cells are a better option than Batts. Sort of depends on the situation, but there are times you know you won't get that battery off. It's better to pop cells in those situations, if you get 2 cells off and hear someone coming you can cancel your third cell and at least return fire with 140 health/armor.. VS them walking up to your mid bat with 90 health.
  • @Ruffneck_303_TTV Another big one, if your teammate nearly gets eliminated on drop. You probably don't want to be playing aggressively the rest of the match. I can't tell you how many times I've had teammates who play aggressively despite it being clear that me and the other teammate are struggling. Probably best to play for positioning in that match and minimize RP losses.

I also like to use tridents. Yeah they make a ton of noise but they also let you exit areas and reposition. So I tend to drive them from building to building. If things get sticky at our building, hop in that trident and go..

Another big one, if both your teammates go down and you're the last person standing and they have not knocked any enemies. It might be best to camp your way to minimal RP losses vs try and clutch the fight.
