- 3 years ago@hayhor 8 kills and 2k damage on average in games I won. I mostly hot drop and that's like 50/50 chance of being the last one alive. And if I was, I would usually win those games, because the rest of the lobby would most likely be average players. 60% win rate in games where I didn't hot drop is a pretty good estimate. Maybe even higher, hard to tell since I want action right from the get-go.

I've been an Apex player since day 1 but never reached & passed 1.0 K/D until S6 & have since currently reached 1.2 K/D.I was a regular player often putting in up to 2 hours a day up until around S12 but since then I just put less & less time into the game where I'd often go days even weeks without playing Apex & just play other games instead just through sheer frustration of the slow & often non-effective attitude to fixing bugs in the game.Since S14 I pretty much gave up on BR & just preferred to play Arenas because of how bad the general MM felt in BR & so my 1.2 K/D ratio was mostly earned up to the start of S14.Even if I attempt BR (pubs) a bulk of the matches just feel like squash matches nowadays where it seems I'm pitted against lobbies of pre-mades & predator squads & that's before considering that I'm often already a teammate down at the start of the match & even once landing I am often struggling to find any other weapon other than a P2020 & or Mozambique no matter where me & my teammates land no matter the map everywhere just feels like a hotspot nowadays with very little to defend yourself at times.
As much as pro players & M&K players complain about the 0.6 aim assist us console/controllers have for me as a PS5/Xbox X player it just has very little if any advantages at all weighing up issues with weapon recoil of weapons, using weapons without scopes, muzzle flash etc.I did hear from various sources that if more than one enemy is on the screen aim assist can be a disadvantage.I certainly agree with other commentors that any advantages that controller players have would be down to any strike packs or any other assistance devices players may use to gain advantage & certainly not us players who don't use these devices. It's the overuse the overly excessive tap-strafing advantages of M&K players that I regularly see & am up against has a much more negative impact on the game than any miniscule aim assist advantages us controller seem to have.

Apex clearly is getting harder with time. You can't just land your shots and expect to win, meaning you can't blindly get involved in a fight. It's all about creating a counter balance, wether it's from superior positioning, timing, using abilities efficiently or micro-managing fights to expose smaller parts of your hit box, superior movement, communication...
So short answer is:
By improving everything that isn't related to aiming and shooting! Also, I'd like to add that applying a league of legends principle is now key to winning. Commit only when you are sure to win the fight before it even starts.
- hayhor3 years agoHero@YaBoyMirage So basically you die over and over until you get that one good game due to sbmm putting you in a lesser lobby or luck simply takes over. But now that never happens? Could he the short term factor in the sbmm isn't having as big an effect as overall skill level or top level skill.
- 3 years ago@hayhor No, I just click the play button. Yeah, I get put in bot lobbies sometimes. Probably 1 in 20 games.
- HappyHourSumwur3 years agoSeasoned Ace@YaBoyMirage If you have a 50/50 chance of being alive when hot dropping and average 8 kills, 2k damage when you win you should go pro, my dude.
