- @Renegade_Prime86 I only rat in ranked when I get horrible teammates and they wipe off drop. No real reason to rat in pubs though.
My problem are runners. They are fully shielded and just run away like hell.
- @Paneross Yeah that's fine, In ranked I rat sometimes if I have to, but I am talking in general, it feels for me like playing warzone
- @Renegade_Prime86 Not really. Everyone pays like a beehive. Fire one shot and they all just turn and sprint straight towards you like angry bees.
What’s the opposite of a ‘rat’
A ‘charging idiot?’
I mean game ethics at their best right? Another way to say ‘You should play the way I WANT!’ The reason you do certain things in Apex is because that is how the game is designed. And if it was designed for team play, you wouldn’t have to leave your team to do better. Yes people make bad decisions, but people aren’t different fundamentally than they were 10 years ago so that’s no excuse.
If this game weren’t so heavily marketed as a supposed team game, I think all these complaints would be lessened considerably. It isn’t a team game unless you had a premade. So if you are playing alone, play alone. Because in this food chain, rats are the top no matter what you would like.
Remember, rats are smart.
With a lot of legends having the ability to scan, this shouldn’t be much of a problem.
Don’t notice this much in pubs but in rank platinum+ yes.

Generally prefer to play passive, not really camping/ratting but observing the other team before approaching or disengaging is generally how I go about in a pub game "I see no point in ranked with every constant problem getting pointed out and lack of reward." To me the warzone players are generally the charging idiots, thinking they can end a 1v3 by themselves only to earn some teabagging time. Warzone campers are around too but it depends on what legend their using i.e. - most movements "dead weight in doors besides Loba and sort of wraith", BH "tactical gives too much attention , Seer ult does too but canceled out because it can't get shot down right away" Gibby and Bang "both would generally run in a building after ulting but tacticals hinder". A person actually using Caustic, Wattson, or Rampart means they have experience in holding down a building "albeit finding the one idiot not using their abilities at all happens."
Sometimes this old fart wishes he understood all the lingo. I assume you mean "corpse camping" by camping? I was in a match where the ring was closing, I was after my friend's banner, and the other team ambushed me. But that is perfectly legit tactics. There are no rules in love and war. I don't know what you guys mean by ratting? I do run the game solo in trios often, so I can practice, I don't wish to drag others to Hell with me. When I am by myself, I do have a better survival rate not having to chase after banners or revive fallen members. If playing the game solo was a crime, there wouldn't be a tick box correct?
On another topic, I got my coins ready to buy the next battle pass on Tuesday. If you see me in the game, I will most likely be playing the bait for my two friends to blow you away. ;-)
Kill you later!
- @Renegade_Prime86 I don't see this much at all in pubs. People like to claim they are shot by a rat when caught unaware but really they just didn't see them. Its like when someone in a team runs up ahead and complains of being shot by 3 people.
Warzone is a completely different animal. Every buy station in that game is a trap. - @hayhor these where literally ratting in the corner when I turned around the where just sitting there, almost all of them, there was one team they where sitting on top of each other :D
