Ive been losing internet connection and getting penalised as a "dash boarder"

Ive been trying to play ranked in season 4 but I have terrible internet that disconnects up to 10 times a day. I have tried to contact EA bout this but all they did was send me an email saying that I have been cheating. I tried to explain that in most of the matches that I have "dashboarded" (lost internet) that I have been in a positive RP position with 3 cases being in top 2 or 3 position with more than 5 kills or assists. By "dashboarding" in instances like these I would be losing out on the possibility of winning the game and getting more RP. Im sure I'm not the only person that is having this problem and it has gotten to the point where if I lose connection I get negative 72 point with a temporary ban. This is unfair to loyal players and all Im asking is that instead of counting this as cheating which its not give players the amount of points that they would have gotten if they had died i.e. if I'm negative 30 RP give me negative 30 RP if I'm positive 100 RP give me the 100 RP its not that hard and EA is making it so that I can play the game due to the fact that I can afford better internet. I'm honestly disappointed in Apex and EA they've made a game that I love into one that frustrates me and has made me feel like the enemy. I love the game and I don't want to stop playing but its come to the point where I either stop or I eventually get banned. Please if you are having similar problems report this and promote my post so that something might get fixed.

@Leo_the_Lion25 The thing is is that I’m not I have * internet that goes out multiple times a day which I am currently looking to fix but I’m sure there are multiple people out there who can’t get better internet. I’ve found that people are too ready to blame the player rather than ask ea to find a better solution.

@SpyrosFPSLooking into that but I think it’s a problem that should be addressed by the game figure out a way to remove the ability to dash board.

I think only Microsoft/Sony can remove this option to quit an application. EA/Respawn Apex devs can't do anything about this.

Also on pc there will always be alt+f4.

But Respawn devs said that they can see who dashboard/alt f4 and judgment day came in Season 4.

Also they introduced limited loss forgiveness to reduce abuse of the system.

I had the same problem disconnecting all day then i called my ISP and they said it's all fine lol so i bought a new modem, new splitter, new cables just to be sure xD

and now my connection is stable.

Also my connection is 24mbps but speedtest shows 10-11mbps.

I stopped playing Ranked while my connection was bad.

    I can't blame EA/Respawn for this.

Ranked is serious so disconnections will give you penalties.

  • @SpyrosFPS Yeah Im looking into that right now. I just think that its strange because APEX stated that they could tell if you're actually dashboarding or if you disconnect for other reasons. Obviously this isnt the case.

    I don't know about that.

  • @SpyrosFPS don't know about what? If you wondering if i was dashboaring I wasn't but thats not really the point I don't care if the forum believes me, Im just wondering whats going on with apex especially when they say they can tell if users are dashboarding.

I don't know if they penalise you as a dashboarder and losing your Ranked Rewards if you really just crash many times or losing internet connection.

That's why you shouldn't play ranked until your connection is fixed because there is a possibility they will not give you any ranked rewards when season ends. :S
I've seen few topics in forum about that but i don't know...

  • I have been getting the same problem. My Wifi is fine as I play a lot of other online games, but then Apex disconnects in the middle of a game. My wifi (or at least the ability to connect to wifi) disconnects as a whole, thus discord calls end and anything else requiring a connection does as well. If I tab out of Apex I can immediately get back onto a wifi network and all is well until I start another Apex match.  Again, this ONLY happens with Apex. I have been playing Apex since season 1 and this problem only started a few days ago with the introduction of Deja Loot-Kings Canyon. I have updated all drivers, repaired game, reinstalled the game, and many other solutions that do nothing. My computer is an OMEN by HP Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti - 512GB Solid State Drive. This is the error I get...

To be called  cheater with no grounds for actually being called a cheater is ridiculous. To assume somebody is making up a story like this is conetly ludicrous in itself, what grounds do you have for xalling this guy a lkar or a cheater? I've literally just experienced the same issue as the OP, but i feel like im being punished for something thats out of my control, there should be a way to differentiate between dashboarding and disconnecting.

  • @Pauldrake1998 Welcome to AHQ, so the solution to your problem is fixing your internet connection. Have you tried going through the connection trouble shooting guide? I provided a link below, if you need more help or have questions let us know.

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/

Another option would be to contact your ISP and talk with them about what's going on and what you can do to improve your internet connection. Your ISP can run testing directly between your connection and them and help you troubleshoot the connection.
