K/D based MM please

K/D is a value that does not lie about the abilities of a player.

Playing constantly good will raise K/D and the other way round.

Best thing is, you can't manipulate K/D since playing "worse" is almost impossible.

You would need to play countless booring matches and loose a lot...

Please give it a try EA, the changes to SBMM in the last 2-3 seasons really made everything worse.

I am willing to accept much longer waiting times if that is nescessary!

Right now waiting times are less than 10 seconds, for a fair match I would wait up to 60 seconds.

And maybe you can also add some seconds to make sure all squads are filled up?

Thanks

My K/D ratio is * and I hit Diamond 2 weeks into split by wins, meaning I would have an amazing K/D ratio if I only could play players of less rank then what I am in now becaus I struggle solo on this level.

Matchmaking would have to consider more then just K/D to make it fair.

That is exactly what happens when you enter a rank lobby where most players are on even ground or plain better then you, also the masters/preds have yet to move on. I keep playing this lobby becaus I see no point in playing any easier lobbies and my ratio turns to *, so what? Still would not be fair to set me against new players in a non ranked match even tho my ratio would improve after griefing them enough and set me against higher. But I would lose the ratio again in ranked and be back to grief the nonranked if I were to think like that.

  • @E9ine_AC I'm sure this isn't what you are talking about but to the worshipers of K/D, I can easily say that when I play trios my K/D goes up and, for all the obvious reasons my K/D goes down when I play ranked, particularly as I get up to the rank of my skill level.

K/D is fine to track, but it's awful as a primary register of how you are in any BR game.  K/D isn't even a good single register for any shooter, but much better for things like Halo still, than any BR.

These sorts of arguments I mostly hear from people who haven't really considered all the things it takes to be better at Apex.  I personally think any kind of SBMM is going to be flawed because it's near impossible to come up with an algorithm that accurately registers skill with everything to consider.  But reducing it to K/D?  That would make it far worse.
