Let's talk about dropping into a matches

@DarthValtrexLet's see how I sometimes do the opposite 🙂

1. I sometimes jump 700m+ either to fly low an be hardly noticeable by teams that jump at 400m away or to actually reach some places faster, because the dropship's direction and speed matter a lot, as well. When lag is high, I drop as far as 1000m+, to avoid early fights until the ping settles to better values. And then there's one of my favorites: dropping very late, in reverse. I look at the places others go, then I take my team somewhere around hot areas, or at POIs that were not targeted by enemy teams. This allows us to be very stealthy and unaccounted for sometimes, to act like a cleanup 3rd party crew :D

2. I often go near hot POIs, loot may be scarce, but still better than inside the hot drop area, because it's like 2/3 players per loot bin instead of 12-15, which are also punching and shooting.

3. I have found great loot in remote areas

4. Supply ships can sometimes be a lot of fun. Especially when they're over an unplayable area of the map. 1 punch or 1 well placed jump pad = 1 kill 🙂. Also, you can just stop by to snatch the high tier loot and then bail. Once on the ground, you only need to get a weapon and wait for the enemies that also landed on the supply ship to come down with low health, unshielded, without heals and ammo. Cleanup time!

5. You don't need to fight 6+ enemies when you hot drop. You need to loot fast while letting the others fight, then go for an easy cleanup. A well placed gas grenade will do wonders, especially against high level players around there, because they usually repair their shields first. This doesn't need good aim either, which has the perk of transforming knockdowns into kills, as most gassed & downed players will rage quit 🙂.

6. I actually like dropping in those places, I do it often lately. Maybe it works because landing there is often uncontested...

P.S.

Sometimes is good to drop in the exact same spot, to beat the crap out of  an enemy that went away from his teammates. That'll teach him to not split off next time!

Other times, do split from and land far from teammates that drop bad. It will help in completing the revive / respawn teammates challenge in no time!
