@hayhor I like the new area in general.. Labs is still one of my favorite drops. I'm excited for Caustics area of the map, can't wait to see what they do with him and that part of the map. Do you like Crash Site? I have died to so many caustics there.. It's a solid area for caustics.
Labs had a wraith portal, octane had his jump pads, mirage had endless bamboozles.. What will they do with the gas and traps?
Still trying to perfect JM because all my buddies pass it to me everytime anyway. But I've been jumping at 370M and go straight down for 2 seconds then gradually pull up until I hit 148 on speed then keep that trajectory to the drop.
I've noticed the times I do get beat to my location its from a team directly above that is hard to see even if I hold L2 and try to look all around me. It seems like they were gliding right above me then just dive bombed straight to the door I'm trying to reach

Ping the door you want to land at, when the distance hits 420-430 drop. Then fly at a straight line to the location. You'll beat everyone there every time or land at the same time as them.
It's good that your team lets you drop, it's the only way you'll learn. If you want to learn how to drop longer distances ask a teammate to teach you. They can tell you when to drop and you'll learn how just from experience.
