Lets talk caustic.
Caustic is majorly under-powered, his ultimate does hardly anything compared to other ultimates like Gibraltars, his ability takes too long to activate. In my opinion his ultimate should be his abil...

He can counter other caustic, the gaz is a powerful tool if correctly used (damage, slow, blurred vision, enemies highligted, blocking line of sight, the trap itself can be used as a cover, let you know when enemies are nearby), low cooldown on ultimate.
My point of view here is, we shouldn't up the gaz. Because when you look at it, it is already powerful. It is not League of legends, we are not supposed to kill with our ability, or at least with certain ultimates. His does not fulfill this role and therefore has a little cooldown. Fair enough. We just has to use his ability at the right time.
What is bothering me though is one main thing : I get it that this game is first and foremost a FPS battle royale, and thus the abilities should vener get in the way of the personal skill with any given gun. BUT, based on the same logic, this character has some majors flaws in that regard. These are his low mobility and his gigantic hit box.
Take Gibraltar for exemple. His is slow and huge as well, but he can shield himself and an area, wich allows him to compensate fopr that. Caustic has none of those.
The urgent thing to change on him is this point : His gaz affects his allies.
I get it it is cool on an immersion point of view, but this is a team game. You are not supposed to play solo. Even if he was, except for his gaz, he his handicaped on a pure 1v1 fight. Why in the world a character based entirely on spreading gaz is affecting his allies as well? I find it nonsensical.
The second thing is his passive ability. Really? He is not affected by his own abilities and other caustics, and that's it? well... This should be obvious logic, not a passive.
Here are 2 things that I personaly think should be good to consider.
first, remove the effect on allies.
Second, add something to his passiv that can justify the fact that he is just a punching ball. Someyhing like, whan he fall down, he is emiting a small ammount of Nox gaz arround him. Not too much, but just enough to cover him a bit from sight and discourage people to just come in and finish him. This is not much but there you have it.
I don't think touching the gaz in itself is a good Idea. Upping it coulb be bad for the game and I will be affraid that he'll become OP all of a sudden.

Something I was thinking about.....What if he was allowed more range to toss his traps? I just think the character is purposely meant to hide in a building. Outside of teleporting with Wraith to close the gap, there is very little offensive upside to having him.
This is why i think they should make the model smaller and make it activate faster, making it smaller means he can throw it further and the fast activation, if you play him, you would understand.
I understand where people are coming from he’s not supposed to do a lot of damage yea but just it’s underwhelming for example I really like the idea of his ult being his ability but smaller (like a grenade) but then the question comes up what would his ultimate be well I was thinking and have 2 ideas I don’t really have numbers for these but I encourage people to try and find balance ideas and if need be I’ll help as well ok first idea castic takes his gas canisters and modifies then into ammunition this ammunition is limited and can only be used by his currently equipped wepons he can chose to give this ammo to his teammates as well but this will
split up the ammo into thirds and when the bullet hits a enemy it will inject the gas causing the enemy to take dmg over time if it hits a surface I create a very small cloud of gas there 2 this is a more supportive tank ability he has a canister that he throws that gives a benefit to allies that enter they are healed over time in this gas and anyone that enters this gas is shown to all of his team and on the mini map as well I know the first idea is a little out there but I feel like his second ultimate would be a good addition now to his ability with the throwable canisters I feel like the gas should do 5-7 damage per tic this is more of a area lock down ability which is what I think they wanted to do with caustic if anyone has feedback on this please I’m open to any and all criticism wether it be bad or good please and thank you
I think the idea for gas bullets is a good idea except more as an activated ability rather than an inventory item. it would get too confusing and giving his allies this ability would be a little op. maybe they could make the ability activate during a set amount of time or for just a magazine or two. this would make you want to pick up the spitfire or devotion for their larger magazine sizes to get the full effect. i think healing allies is a little op as well and doesn't really follow the character but i think we all agree he shouldn't affect his allies with his abilities. he definitely needs a damage buff but the line between acceptable and op for him is very thin and until they start experimenting with it i don't think we'll figure out where that line is. unfortunately I've never seen a game like this redesign their characters that extensively so i doubt it would ever happen. at this point he might just turn into a garbage meme like the mozambique. all we can honestly hope for is a few buffs here and there and maybe changing his traps to stick to walls and ceilings.
