- @RockDokRock She could rez a teammate and use the shield to fight. It took zero skill and rewarded poor play.. It was strong across the board in all lobbies. The data didn't lie.

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, I feel a lot of the complaints about it was because players did not know and did not want to learn how to counter it. Then on the other hand I look at it as ok yea it was a little strong due to allowing the LL a good one that is fully guarded and peaks over and over like a Gibby bubble. A thermite on the ground at the shield countered it but it still allowed the lifeline to strafe shoot through the shield.
Being friends with the number 1 lifeline in the game on pc at the moment he has even stated to me that the shield was def overpowered and the kit needed a rework. This comes from someone with 45 thousand matches played on Lifeline. While this is 1 person's belief I tend to listen to that seeing all the experience he has playing that legend alone. When he broke down how it was broken and why it should be changed I understood which some of the things he expressed I name above. It allowed a major advantage for the lifeline and the person being res. A lot of times allowing a knock to happen multiple times would save the team because the Lifeline had endless shields blocking her and she could act as if she was in a Gibby dome. His only complaints about that legend at this time is how useless her ultimate is.
- @E9ine_AC Exactly.
- Origin lifeline rez was better, this whole drama started because they made it a automated rez with a shield in the name of 'we will give her a sidegrade'.
Now at least the players have to protect the body and not just chill behind a shield. Yes to manual shield rez, no to automatic shield rez(IMO) personally, I prefer having faster healing passive over the shield or the heal after reviving a teammate.
or make the DOC have an area of effect same as the heat shield which will give lifeline the ability to revive faster and her animation becomes a little faster ( which should be the norm ) and heal faster.
this way it will not be OP because it can be used with DOC only which is every 23 seconds to heal only.
so in this case lifeline player must deploy the drone first then initiate the revive

@hayhorIf abilities that take zero skill and reward poor play can't be in the game there'd hardly be any abilities left. Most abilities are centered around "got yourself into trouble? It's okay, just push this button". Others are just click-to-wallhack.

@AcidicSoda44031 Possibly thought she was playing another legend? I've done that. I play Caustic and when I play Fuse sometimes (even now) I'll think "oh I'll drop a gas trap behind this door' and end up blowing myself up. lol.

@hayhor ok fair enough. I did not realise the shield stuck around long enough for her to actually use it to engage in combat, I thought tt was purely protective for the rez.
for me i would love the shield back however it rotates so if you get the timing right then you can still kill the person being revived
