Love it! Hate it! Points of Interest

It's that time again where Apex is kinda boring because of content drought just before an upcoming event in a week or two from now so I'm kinda missing having all the maps in rotation just to have variety during this stale period.

What POI do you love the most and hate the most in each of the 4 maps in apex? You can name even old/removed POIs. Here's mine.

1. WORLD'S EDGE

Love it - Sorting Factory

I miss this one the most. The fights are so diverse like fighting on top of that long building, getting on top on of those cranes, Wattson and Caustic having a huge advantage inside of that long building. I love lava siphon as well, but I really miss Sorting Factory. If we can only have them both.

Hate it - Train Yard

I'm glad that this one is gone. I know that some love it but the fights here are so awkward and it will always end up having one squad cooped inside one of the hanging train cars having a long range battle with the other squad in the opposite train car.

2. KINGS CANYON

Love it - Repulsor

The loot is good compared to most POIs in KC and one of the few times that I enjoy sniping in this game is when your team is on top of the walls. When you're on the wall it's like king of the hill where people will also try to go up there but you would have to defend yourselves. A close second would be Salvage. The fights can be interesting in there as well.

Hate it - Skulltown

I don't get people who hate Fragment but at the same time say that they miss skulltown. 3/4 of the lobby drops here and there are less than 10 squads left after the first circle. The RNG would dictate if you will survive and be able to get a gun against the 6 other squads you will drop with.

3. Olympus

Love it Solar Array

Not a popular drop but if you drop here alone, you're getting out fully loaded with loot. This our go to POI in Olympus since it's flexible whether you want fights or not. If  you want fights, you can quickly go to Hammond labs and Waterfalls via the jump tower in the POI or quickly move next door to Bonsai. If you want to loot more you can just go to Icarus. If ever there are fights here, the map also gives a lot of variety with the 4 huge buildings.

Hate it - Hammond Labs and Waterfalls area

I hate this whole area. This is like the Fragment of Olympus where there's 100% an enemy squad in waterfalls. Also, I hate that this is a sniper heaven area.

4. STORMPOINT

Love it - Antenna

Kinda sad that I had to think a lot just to think of the best POI in this map (lol map changes soon please). Antenna is one of the popular drops in this map but I like the fights that we had here.

Hate it - Jurassic Park

No official name just like the waterfalls in Olympus, but boy do I hate this POI. The Prowlers are so annoying here since they're too many of them and the worst part is that there are a lot of enemy squads here since a lot of people will rotate through it since it's in the middle of the map. Yes you can avoid the prowlers but if there's an enemy squad, sometimes you are forced to fight them.

Share your favorites and least favorites in the 4 maps! Also, happy thanksgiving again to our fellow American forumers!

Love it: Countdown. I know that area so well I usually come out of it with decent weapons and at least three kills.

Hate It: Fragment. I don't mind the odd Fragment drop, but at the moment every DM wants to drop there. I don't like losing to some newb who happened to find an R301 or R99 while I opened three bins and didn't even get a gun.

    Kings' Canyon

Love it: The collection of buidings close to Octane's Gauntlet. Get fully kitted up, head to the Gauntlet to pick off the survivors, then drop to Salvage to kill a few more, then to Market ... you get the picture.

Hate It: Mini Skulltown. Too many buildings, too many chances for an enemy to surprise you.

    Olympus

Love It: The back end of Arcadia. Good loot, you can't get sandwiched between two squads and you can come out with good loot, and onwards to ...

Hate It: ... Pathfinder's Arena. Not so much the arena but the ring itself. It's broken - you come out with your gun holstered and you can't hear gunshots properly ... so why drop there?

    \Stormpoint

Love it: Fish Farms. Absolutely nobody lands there and there is always tons of good loot. Your entire squad is going to come out of there fully kitted up.

Hate It: The Forbidden Zone aka Jurassic Park. I have had people drop there. WHY? Fighting the prowlers is a waste of time and ammo, and you are broadcasting to the rest of the map precisely where you are and what you are doing. I've even had to ressed people in there (if you can't beat prowlers you should definitely not be engaging with them). I hate going through there mid game too - I keep to the edges and hope no one spots me.

@EdwardDLuffy I love countdown as well! The guaranteed purple and 2 blue shields in the middle is great!

Didn’t know it has a name. It fits and describes the POI well though. LOL.
  • i wont go into too much detail yet but the worst POI to ever exist is fight night, first of all why would you go into a battle royale game with guns to throw hands and second of all its just a terrible place to drop just stop existing, that said train yard was pretty bad(2nd worst poi behind fight night) love lighting rod on storm point, love the 2 watchpoint towers on KC, always liked lava fissure

EDIT: also love solar array and i personally enjoy energy depot a lot

@Swarth2300 Although the loot is really good in fight night, I have to agree that the fights there are awkward as hell. The boxing ring is buggy too.

Energy depot can be sweaty sometimes but I like the fights there in general.

@Swarth2300 I hated the idea of fightnight before it was even a POI and I still hate it.

Fragment is still the worst POI tho as it wrecks a map that could be good.

I miss sorting and trainyard so much.
