My account was hacked, then banned, and I know what's going to happen

Just to provide a bit more context to the excellent advice others have already provided here, I did want to briefly touch on the point you raised about checking to see if an account was hacked before it's banned as it's certainly a valid concern.

I can definitely understand how this may seem wrong to ban an account if you're not the one responsible for that activity.

Keep in mind though, in many similar cases we'll want to ensure both that anyone who may have gained access isn't able to continue using your account, and also that they're not ruining the in-game experience for other players in the meantime.

Depending on the activity of the account, banning it temporarily may be one way to ensure it's not continuing to be used to negatively impact the game for others until we can verify you're back in control.
