@chuckmynorrisi started playing Apex in Season 8 and tried Ranked for the first time last night. I am an admittedly bad player but it was like I'd never played an FPS before in my life. I was constantly focused and jumped on by squads that rarely missed shots with God like movement. Didn't matter if I was with 2 randoms or a pre-made duo, we all died almost instantly the first time we ran into anyone. Could be smurfs or that I just suck at Apex, but it was Bronze lobbies supposedly. I'm back to where I was in mid-Season 8, questioning my life choices and about to stop playing for a few months.
- @HappyHourSumwur Bronze lobbies are not bronze lobbies. I wouldn't feel bad. Just push through those and you will get regular people.
- @hayhor So is it all smurfs then? I just have to suck it up and take my beatings to get to matches that feel more appropriate for my skill level (i.e.-I am below average)?
When does it get better? If I have to get to gold, I'll just stick to the occasional pub match and go find another game to play. I don't want put up with that much BS. Getting your @$$ handed to you repeatedly is a horrible experience.- @HappyHourSumwur Bronze lobbies are harder than silver lobbies since there are smurfs accounts. There’s less in the silver and gold. When you play in bronze 60-70% of it are real bronze players but the rest are high ranked players that got demoted and some are smurf accounts.
If you’re having a difficult time going through bronze, I suggest sticking with pubs since smurfs are immediately placed into sweaty lobbies after a few games and you won’t get preds (most of the time lol).
