BR pubs and ranked are great. So I disagree with you on that.
However the Straight Shot LTM as you suggest and I agree should be a permanent mode. It is just so so good.

It is the current LTM that you can select to play in the game select menu like duos, trios, ranked, or mixtape, there is one labeled Straight shot.
Straight shot is a min BR trio game, 10 teams of 3, you will be dropped in a poi near another team, weapons you find will be kitted at different levels , blue purp etc.
When you get boxed after a few seconds your team automatically has your banner and can either use a respawn beacon or a mobile respawn becon to get you back in the game.
You can also once the team is dead press a button to join the next match instead of going back to the lobby.
It is BR on a smaller scale but fast paced.
Good fun.
Have not paid attention to the map size but it feels like the teams are placed closer together and ring times work the map well to make it a faster paced BR game.
Wins in this mode count towards your wins total as well as all other BR stats in this mode counting.

Did not know that. I usually just leave. Doubt they're gonna respawn anything anyway.As @CCbathwater said ammo is a bit problematic.

You may find that players will not risk the revive if it is risky and will wait for you to get boxed so that they can do the respawn.
Yes a lot of players will try to get you back in the game. Many even wait for you to get them back in, however there are some here and there that will leave.
- @CCbathwater I've been respawned or respawned teammates and totally turned the initial fight around because you land with your guns and a stack of ammo.
- @hayhor Obviously this is a test of how you can curb hot-drop griefing on BR. About time. BR has progressively been allowed to become worse and worse since... ever.
