Possible solution for 3rd party fights

Hi,

I just wanted to drop an idea I had, this may have been on the forums before or other, possibly better solutions might have been posted.

I thought shortening the distance from where you hear shots could have 2 benefits:

1. If the team thinking of 3rd partying is in range (shorter than usual) they are more likely to engage in the fight making it a battle royale of 1v1v1 (teams) which is even more appropriate to the genre OR

2. Given the 2nd enemy team has to be quite close to hear the shots, you as the team thinking to engage in a fight are more likely to notice there is an additional team in the area.

Let me know what you think.

no but seriously that would seem like a good solution but once a 3rd team enters the area, it's already a 3rd party as every team knows it's best to attack 1 team together with the enemy until their wiped in order to at least gain kills or snag some loot quickly.

Reducing sound would also slow down the games pace which is why I enjoy it more than any other BR game.

Apex is fast paced even if you decide to camp, it will eventually get faster as more teams come 1 after another to wipe squad after squad. I don''t think we should mess with the pacing of the game.
  • @RazviC00L Reducing the sound range would remove the one thing that can save you from a 3rd party, the 4th and 5th party that heard your shots from slightly further away and end up taking on the 3rd party, letting you and your teammates sneak away with the loot and maybe come back to become the 6th party.

My Weapon and my Wits save me from 3rd Partiers.

  • @RazviC00L There is no solution for third partying. It’s gonna keep happening until the end of time in all BRs.

It just makes sense to pounce on 2 squads fighting, catching them both off guard or just killing the last squad while they’re recuperating.

You may stifle the process, but in the end, it’ll keep happening
