If you don't want to adapt to random teammates' playstyles, then don't play with random teammates. It's that simple.
I myself don't mind playing the game alone, so if my teammates want to rush to skulltown with an RE45, I won't cry (and most definitely not rush to join them), I'll just switch to solo mode. If I can recover their banners later, I might (but they rarely stick around anyway).
If I did mind playing the game solo, I would probably join them, die and start a new game, but after 3 games like that, I would find non-random teammates through discord.

Why would anyone be against this it would reduce people leavening anything that reduces people leaving is good for the game and everyone that plays it

You say don't play with randoms if you don't want to adapt to their playstyle, and after that you immediately make a hard contradiction to your own argument saying you refuse to follow your two other squad mates into the skulltown fight.
What my idea generally proposes is an algorithm that would have placed you into another "safer" squad, and your spot would be taken by someone like me, who couldn't care less about winning games, and has Aggression trait set to max.
And the fact of the matter is that playing full premades with friends 100% of the time is not realistic.
I might be playing at 4 AM and most are offline, or many are online, but they already have full squads so I have to que randoms.
My idea is simply aimed at reducing squads with 0 teamwork, and squads meeting their end in character select screen, because someone's main got taken, and they leave the game because of that.

Where exactly do you see any "contradiction" here?
I say that I DO NOT MIND playing solo if I need to. That is - if I don't like what my teammates are doing, I play solo. I like playing with a team, but I won't change my whole playstyle/mood just for them.
And if I DID NOT like playing solo, I would then not play with randoms when I'm in a mood to play just specific playstyle. It's really not that hard to find ppl to play with on Discord.
What I'm saying is, if you want to play with randoms you need 1 of 2 things: 1) to be able to adapt to any kind of teammates you get and play along or 2) you have to not mind playing the game solo. Most ppl just go for #1, I sometimes prefer #2. P.S. I would love to have a solo-only mode, just a daily reminder.
I really don't see a reason to add additional rules to random teammate matching. The high variance of random games is what makes it fun.
I do think there could be some extra ways to help players form parties though. Maybe party finder like in overwatch (that could have a short title for what you're looking for and maybe some icons/checkboxes), general chat channels ingame (which would mostly be used to find other players and discuss politics), improvements to friend list (simpler way to add ppl, a way to add notes on ppl (really a very useful feature, pity not many have it)), a more extensive list of players you've recently played with, ...

Oh yeah you're right, read your comment a second time and I indeed misinterpreted it.
Sorry about that.
An in-game group finder would be terrific. I played WoW for a long time (strictly arena PVP) and groupfinder definitely worked very well.
They would also need to implement a link feature so that someone searching for players to team with could inspect the banner of the applicant's main.
A quick look at kill count and badges will generally allow you to roughly gauge player skill/exp and playstyle.
