Interesting idea. It would bother me to have to fiddle with such setting every time i feel like playing more or less aggressively. Then again the same problem might persist because people would not care about it as they are doing now.
You lost me at slider.
I was just saying a one time input of preferences of game play. Click yes or opt out. That slider deal sounds too funky
Anyways, every game has it's community which braches out to specific groups. Everyone has their own mindset as to how a game can improve. All in all, every idea, complaint or vent is seen, in the eyes of the Devs, as a suggestion from their current playerbase. They just need to decide on whether or not to make it happen. EZPZ

The slider idea is interesting but as others mentioned it may be open to exploitation. I personally love the option to select Prime Matchmaking in CS:GO, so if there was an option enable a "teamwork" option where you can be matchmaked in a pool of players with scores based on whether they stay within a specific range of their squad mates and don't quit until their respawn timed out that to me would encourage more "teamwork." It can be frustrating when a random player goes off to do their own thing.
I get where OP's message is though, it would be nice to matchmake with players that fit your gameplay style. This could be a never ending debate though on whether aggressive or passive gameplay is the best. Definitely send those friend invites to random players that you've meshed well with in a game so your list of friends online grows.
Speaking of matchmaking though. This is hot off the press!
