The grind to diamond was so freaking hard this season. At least 2 times harder than grinding to masters in previous seasons. I also changed mains this season, I used to main wraith and now I main pat...
I quit 1st split after hitting Gold IV, and haven’t logged into ranked this split. Saw the bad execution of the new ranked system on the wall.
Been playing Control and then also other games. Maybe they’ll change it back but I can’t wait for them.
@hayhorThe fact that I have consistently reached masters for 4 seasons in a row and now it took all my might and skill to reach d4 doesn't bother me. I am fine with a harder game that has a higher skill cap. I was fine before as a master and I'm fine now as a diamond.
My problem with the game is the direction the developers steer it in.
ALGS type of games are a joke to me, I don't even watch them. Why would I watch 20 minutes of nothing just for less than 2 mins of complete chaos at the end. It's also just as boring to play them and this is the same exact direction ranked was changed to just now.
This game is very fast paced, they should stick to this formula in my opinion. They should make changes and add new mechanics in order to improve and add upon the fast paced core of the game. Let me give you a few examples:
-smart loot when you kill a player (the player who died has in his box or drops on the ground loot that you need, even if he didn't originally have it, like heals/shields, ammo),
-once you squad wipe a team all your members who are knocked down get auto ressurected at the pace of a normal rez (basically everyone who is downed gets LL's bot to rez em automatically),
-also after a squad wipe everyone gets fast health regeneration,
-the circle should close faster based on the number of teams/players who are still alive,
- white shields should no longer exist on the ground only blues and above, everyone should drop with a white backpack and they should be removed from ground loot,
-kp should award the same rp no matter the placement and it should be uncapped, so if I hotdrop on 5 squads and I somehow manage to get out alive with 10 kp, I should gain at least 50 rp if not more than that in plat even if I die 1 second later and place 15th.
-do something to remove ratting, ratting is so boring to do and you can also get griefed hard by rats at the end. And when I say ratting I mean when 2 of your teammates die, nobody is knocked from the enemy squad and you have to run away in order to rat yourself to higher placement to diminish your loses. It's such a boring and stupid strategy which should be strongly discouraged, make it so everyone fights until the end. No more pulling out of fights and running to rat and save points.
From your last post what I interpret is that you suggest rewarding ONE type of playstyle, and from what I read that is the shoot and move pushing everything you see no matter what, see notes in red below on some of your suggestions.

This lowers risk but gives a very high reward, unbalanced.
also after a squad wipe everyone gets fast health regeneration. Sam as above, where are the consequences for bad decision making.
Smart playing and actually having to make choices on whether to push another team and or disengage is part of this game, your suggestions are geared for only one type of playstyle and more so does not really add to any team play decision making but benefits the Tryhard solo's that push all they see.
Ideas are great but we really should be looking at what would benefit the greater player base and in line with the design of the game as a whole.
I am glad that you have suggestions and keep them coming, just because I disagree with them does not matter, creativity is a good thing and part of why we are here.
