I won’t buy skins for this game or Fortnite no matter what. The battle pass is the only fair deal. The rat is a rip off.
People may not want to admit it but Fortnite does many things better. First off, there is loot everywhere. That may not be ‘realistic’ or conceptually make sense, but this is a game and it lets people not get so stuck being outgunned.
second, the map is bigger. If you want people to have a chance you have to leave maps like Kings Canyon begins. They’re bad for the game.
Third, while there aren’t character abilities there are a lot more weapons, especially since weapons have ranks. And no mods. That makes for a much better curve and has less ‘well you got your face shot off by a fully kitted Wingman because you had a barely modified hemlock.
i like Apex and don’t want to see it become Fortnite. And Apex beats the dumpster fire of Overwatch. But Apex needs to make some adjustments that make people feel it isn’t so much decided on loot.
@KelRiever if you watch TheRussianBadger's most recent video about Warzone he makes the same point where there's less mundane tedious nonsense involving loot. Everything is streamlined to be as clunk free as possible. Weapons have preset attachments unless you get a load-out drop, you drop with armor and a weapon, armor is armor there's no different levels of it, money and buy stations are aplenty and can keep you stocked up if you haven't found anything loot wise, and the money itself can be used to revive teammates and keep the game flowing.
Warzone in my opinion is the perfect example of how a game thrust into an over saturated market with quite literally nothing going for it can come out on top simply due to improving upon where everyone else has failed. There's nothing unique or original about Warzone, and yet when it came out it instantly set itself apart from all the rest by removing every form of tedious pointless nonsense and keeping everything flowing. It's all designed with the PLAYER's enjoyment in mind, and it really shows how differently things could've been for Apex.
@pastaclown See to me that's the weird bit. I think Apex would benefit way more from Warzone style looting system, whereas warzone would benefit more from the traditional looting system.
Warzone has a wealth of weapons and attachments, and the space to distribute them all nicely.
Whereas Apex is fundamentally set apart from other BR's due to pace of play...so that streamlined system would further boost this ethos.
For me personally,this games shelf life will be about as long as it takes for valorant to make it's console debut then I'll probably move on if we see no real changes to the issues at hand.
I've put over a year into this game..and to be fair it has made some progress but the route it's taken has been so sketchy, and being drip fed minor content such as skin events constantly rather than addressing real issues such as the audio just frustrates the hell out of me.
@MandatoryIDtag I agree with you on Apex benefiting from Warzone's looting style. It would definitely improve the flow of the game, but I don't actually play Warzone, so I'm uncertain about your Warzone comment. I watch a lot of Warzone though, it's pretty interesting. I don't know why it just didn't work on my PC despite me having a little higher than the recommended specs.
That being said, it would be cool to start an Apex game, and all weapons dropped (aside from player boxes) had full level 1 attachments.
@RustedYoda @Sorry it is. But yes if you want to go by popularity I have to admit OW like Fortnite appeals to more.
But at this point OW has fallen far, far from what it was supposed to be. OW was supposed to be the King Kong of esports not Fortnite. So much money from the top thrown down to shower on the masses. And even Apex has more streamers.
so even Apex now has one up on OW and OW did it to themselves, screwing up their own game by limiting what you could play in the name of making the game better. It didn’t.

@KelRiever Yeaaah I bought the game when it was first released and hardcore nerded it as was by far the most fun FPS game around at the time. Had a long break from it when I consoled switched to ps4 and bought it again.
The new heroes are pretty cool but the game just feels so lackluster nowadays...I was pretty deeply disappointed.
Hopefully OW2 will be better...heard it will be free for OW1 players too? :o
Thats because Epic actually gives a * about their game and doesnt have braindead monkeys in their devteam.
This is my opinion about Apex Legends:
As far as balancing the legends and diversity i think they are doing a slow, but a good job. Many players like me don`t wanna play a spammable ability fest, the main part its always should be its the shooting and moving.
As far as feedback goes on. This is a hard task for the Devs. Firstable they have people in there who are responsible for lets said balance, content and so on. And they can do as much as they can get(aka funds from their bosses). And also a lot of feedback is just a sore complains for people that are just bad at the game and they are complaining about everything.
Aka constantly won`t say crying(because i get banned for it :D) making a thread for Wraith buff, when she is hands down the best Legend ING from the very beginning of this game. Or Pathy grapple when he was top 2 legend from the beginning of the game, and its still the second most picked legend ING.
Most of the thread claiming for buffs/nerfs are like that, and taking a feedback from that will completely broke the game.
There is a team that is working on this thing and whether we like it or not, it should be like that and i prefer it like that.
My main problem with the game and i think this is what really gives it a bad impression is this:
Number 1: Cheaters. Soft and Hardcore cheaters. Recently a lot of low tier players are suddenly becoming some aim gods. And when you spectating them they movement is a newbie level, their mouse movement its the same, but suddenly when the battle comes they are becoming gods.
I think there is a lot of soft aimbot in the game as well, aka aim lock on CS:GO. Not the typical aimbot, that just laser you, but still does the job done, and you are not sure if the player are cheating or not. But when you see his level, its starting to get obvious.
Yesterday for example i was peaking from behind cover, constantly change the position, yet every time i just show my head i was eating a damage. I mean come on, no one have such inhuman reaction. This was looking like a exactly a CS:GO trigger bot ....
Number 2: Server issue, lag, tic speed and so on.
Huge problem and they need to change their servers completely. We need CS:GO type of server here. I`m tired of receiving damage, tho on my screen i`m behind cover or a door already, but suddenly i receive damage. This lower the skill cell by a huge margin.
Tho now its fixed, the moment Season 5 start and the first 10-20 days of it i had a huge lag/delay problems. My internet connection is perfect and before season 5 my playing experience was okay. I`m playing other online games and never have this type of problem.
Recently i don`t have this type of problem, but this was a problem for way too long.
Hit reg, this is still a problem ING, not as much as it was before, but still a problem.
Don`t know why people are not talking about this, but when you down someone and straight up shooting at him, you are hitting him, but no damage is registered. This is a hit reg problem and its still not fixed.
This is my other problem, but its a my view and take on it.
I don`t like that some weapon are a must in this game, aka shotguns.
I think the weapon choice is okay, maybe 1 more SMG, AR and a pistol type will be a good addition.
This game needs high TTK, because of the big waiting time before starting a game for obvious reason, and its a BR after all.
Mastiff at the moment is a must(unless you get carepackage weapon, aka the other shotgun PK).
The other weapon in 99,99% of the time is R99 and Wingman.
While i think R99 its perfectly balanced and require great amount of aim and have it drawback(you need to carry a lot of ammo and drains it fast), Wingman atm is hands down number 1 weapon. You don`t need much ammo, which is a big deal at top/pro level, its great in any distance, it does insane amount of damage, and a lot of people are hitting their shots, tho they do not have great aim, and just spam with it, because you are not getting punish in terms of ammo.
You are getting no penalty for ADS with Wingman(move full speed which is OP), you are great at any distance and he outshine any AR, snipers(except Kraber), do great damage, and he is insane without attachment, and the only one you need is the mag, which is very common.
If i got a Flatline or R301 and trying to fight a squad from a distance, who wear a Wingman i will get destroyed, because he can spam like mad and will out ammo me, and out damage me, in kinda close range(not a shotgun close range, but an ADS close range), he will beat me, because AR ADS move speed is a joke, compare to his full MS.
Mastiff - its just too good. This weapon its like rewarding a low aim players. I`m fighting a people, who can`t land a single shoot at me with their SMG/AR, but the moment they switch to their shotgun you die instantly.
No normal weapon should be able to 1 shot you(if you got no armor or EVO), or 2 shots you while you are wearing a blue, purple or even EVO.
And also the main joke is how easy to land a shot from a distance and how much damage it does with a shotgun, aka Mastiff.
You can easily do 52 damage from 50 meters, which is ridiculous. They should be effective in a close range, and still should not do more than 80 damage per full hit.
Not wearing a shotgun in your secondary right now is a playing on big handicap.
As i said i think the game needs a high TTK, so buffing AR its not an option, but actually a nerfing too powerful and a must have ones.
We also needs a Solo mode for sure.
But other than that, the game is incredible and very unique. No other game offers such a great movement, your aim needs to be on very high level(which i like), the looting system is very unique as well and i like it. The progression feels nice(aka find attachments, better armor type and so on).
