Re: Again, why did you not change the loadouts for tdm?

@dSKyNafinchin Choosing your own guns would be the best option, but sometimes the game gives you so many bad choices you're forced to play that specific loadout.

But again, i don't want to be forced to look around the map to get a decent gun. Give at least 3/4 balanced options to us, and leave 1 or 2 "extravagant" if someone wants to do challenges.

I've been on their back about it since Control began. Why on earth would anyone play Sentinal/G7? Come on.

At least there's always one loadout that's acceptable. And personally I like that I can't just pick R301/Prowler or R301/PK every game and be an automatic nuisance to my surroundings. But if there were more actual choices, instead of mostly joke loadouts, it would be more fun.

@CCbathwater Agreed. I like that people are forced out of their crutch gun. When control has not had a flatline or r301 as an option I've had my best games as I can use other guns.

@Cro_Pittt I suppose I've just been lucky. Pretty much every match for me, I am able to use an R99/Scout/PK/CAR/Flatline. I keep getting matches with a CAR/R99 load out, which absolutely shreds, Lol. My least favorite, would be when the R301 is one of the choices, because then the whole lobby pretty much uses it. That was the main reason I'm kinda glad that we don't get to make our own classes. With the pre-made ones, there is variety, and everyone has the same load outs in the match. With custom load outs, it would just be R301 combos everywhere, like the other two mentioned above.

Out of curiosity, what kind of weapon combos would you be looking for? Pretty much every match has had at least one good load out for me, but I suppose it highly depends on each players weapon preference.

The only times I've found myself wishing there were different choices, were when I was working on pistol (knocks) and marksman rifle challenges. I kept getting the 3030 as the option, and I suck with that thing. Also kept getting the Wingman, which I have a love/hate relationship with. It would have gone so much quicker, if I could have chosen the Scout and P2020 exclusively. Other than that though, when I'm playing freely and not working on challenges, there's always at least one good one for me

I agree! While the selections we are given could use some work, I find it a positive that, unlike in arenas, players are not allowed to just default to a stale meta. This was a constant source of complaints in arena. I think that the set loadouts create more balance in the lobbies and more interesting matches.

However, they could use improvement. I feel like the earlier selections we had when Control was new were better balanced and more logical than what we have now. For example, if a loadout contains a meta gun like the Nemesis, it should not come with another A or S tier weapon.  Likewise with R99/CAR - there should be some sort of tradeoff for having a meta weapon, they should not be paired with another one.  Every loadout should be balanced in a logical manner. Something like G7/Sentinel as CC mentioned should not exist.

The one thing I really miss about TDM having multiple rounds was the loadouts changing mid-match to create variety.

@pandareno1999 I can definitely agree with you and @CCbathwater on that! I wasn't thinking about the actual combos, just the variety among all available weapons. As much fun as a CAR/R99 combo is, there's no reason for there to be a class with 2 powerful sag's. Also, last night I had a match where I was working on sniper rifle knocks (Wingman does NOT count, just fyi, Lmao), and the only sniper available was a Longbow/Wingman load out. Needless to say, I did not have a very successful match, because I essentially had no secondary. Even a 2020 or Havoc or... anything other than the Wingman, would have helped me a lot

I completely agree on needing more variety between primary + secondary weapons. A better mix of range/fire rate would be great! And less load outs where they double up on weapon type

I was a fan of the load outs changing between rounds, as well
