Re: Can someone explain why?

@XxColdFangxX no I can't explain it. I do know a great deal of customer support and services are being outsourced to other countries. My friend told me last season he was having a minor issue with the game glitched on the season. Something about the progress bar? He got on his cell phone talking to the support person, who had no idea what he was talking about. They told him, "I don't play the game.". These people are given a playbook by the company and follow it to the letter.

Even if you did the first 20 steps yourself, they will make you try them again back at step 1. This is why forums with peer to peer support exist and are used handle many of these issues. But when the game is glitched, you are sort of concerned about your game progression, the other users here can no longer aide you, then it would be a great idea to have a premium support service.

  • @Xubunnytwo It's honestly trash. Why have the option to report a player in the contact support if they're just going to send you to the 'how to' link?
Like obviously there's a reason I'm making the case on here and not the in game report system that's far easier and less frustrating to use.

I'm wondering the same. Does Apex not save chat logs?

  • @Xubunnytwo Sometimes I think the report system is only there for show.
Peer to peer support on this forum doesn't exist (at least here)
Because the report system is useless once I posted a cheater here with video evidence that he was cheating, my post got deleted and got a message I should not show cheaters names and shame them publicly.

But that wasn't shameful that the actual cheater t-bagged all of his victims, running around aimboting and wallhacking and also doing 360 trick shots.

Even if you follow the guide it is useless

@Renegade_Prime86 honestly I don't see why we aren't allowed to name and shame. It would let players know that someone thought the guy was cheating and to keep an eye on him if you end up having him in your games.
I can understand someone not seeing what the player was doing correctly, but if other players were wary of it they could confirm it with their own reports.

@XxColdFangxX while some players imo should be named and shamed, the fact of the matter is innocent until proven guilty. I've seen a number of posts here that implied cheating in the first post with video, but were soon shown to be possibly otherwise by more experienced heads.

Do you know every single angle of the game that would make you a most excellent judge, jury and executioner?

    Basically the same thing.
Of course I don't know how they actually go into the game themselves to check these reports, but from all the controversy, it sounds like they aren't really doing anything.
Aside from inaccurate reports from someone who doesn't know the difference between hacks and a modded controller, what is the actual harm in the community being aware of a potential cheater?

Yes, it's always innocent until proven guilty, but with more people watching, wouldn't that help to confirm that?

And while I can actually see some issues with it, like harassment of the reported individual, think of it like a community watch.

Honestly the only thing different I saw in your post is you assuming that by putting a reported person in a watch list automatically means they're guilty, which I made no such statement, and that I also apparently had the ability to see every angle, which I had already made a point on saying not everyone sees everything correctly.

I reread your post multiple times before even replying to you. So perhaps instead of saying 'no you misread.' Maybe explain yourself better.

@XxColdFangxX don't see how you could be confused as to our posts being basically the same. You appear to say that players should be the ones to name and shame, I don't say that. QED

@OldTreeCreeperyou don't see how there is confusion?

"While some players imo should be shared..."

This statement does not specify that you have an issue with WHO is sharing, rather it states that you have an issue with WHAT kind is being shared. Like cheater vs hatespeech, and instead of specifying you had an issue with the who at the end, you finished with "innocent until proven guilty."

You even have an explanation as to why, but without that key component it just looks like you're agreeing.

For lack of better words, don't half * your sentences and expect other people to get it, then condescend to them when they don't.

But thanks for clearing that up.

I for one think this convo has gone way off topic, if you have anything to add about my actual topic question I'd love to hear it, if not, well, nice chat, I'm done with it.
