Re: Can we please turn off aim assist on Joy Con

@playerh42q7qga
Is there no option to turn off target compensation in your settings? It would be under advanced look settings.
I don't play on switch so I wouldn't know, but the option is there for Xbox.

    "the option is there for Xbox."

    I didn't know this. I'm gonna go shut it off right now and try it out - see what all these mnk people are on about.

    For the longest I didn't think xbox had the option to turn it off, finally found it a few months ago.
    I turned it off for about two weeks to see what all the complaining was about. I honestly still don't know.
    Aside from aim just being smoother in general with aa on, when it came to damage I was still getting relatively within the same range of numbers I normally get.

    You need to turn on ALC in your controller settings.  The sliders you find there will be set to the values for either 4-3 or 3-3 Classic, I can't remember which, by default (it's whatever setting is default when you start the game).  So you may need to make some adjustments if you are running a different sense or response curve.  With ALC enabled,  you will be able to change target compensation to either the lower value used on PC, or to turn it off altogether.

    If you are using the default settings, you don't need to even touch those sliders.  But if you're curious about what all of those sliders do in ALC, you can find a multitude of videos explaining it.  Avoid the ones claiming to be showing you the "best" setitings, look instead for videos that simply explain the various ALC settings and what they do.
