Re: Close to deleting this game

@BaldWraithSimp I have experienced slow motion and rubberbanding on PC on a few occasions, but the worst moments were during Season 3.

@DarthValtrex I'm 95% sure this is a network related issue.

If I get 2 slo mo in a row, i shut down and restart choosing second nearest server. Usually on London server, so swirch to Amsterdam server. Usually works.

Xbox one S here at the end of poor mobile broadband, with an ariel wired in from outside, with a wifi extender plugged in half way between xbox and dongle.

It is really bad for 2 weeks now.
Ranked play (wingman shots not registering 50% of the time), got a lot of slow motion games lately. Slo-mo only at the beginning tho. I even got disconnected one time because server crashed, then the game notified me It was not my fault and did not take ranked points away.
Yesterday all 5 shots from wingman were on point. Only 2 out of 5 registered. 100/100 wired optics here, 16 ping to Frankfurt server, playing on PC.

Main issue is still hitreg, wich was a problem at the start of this season, and got worse to the point were it is not bearable anymore. Yesterday it reached a point with a whole game having a second delay or even more. Nothing registered.

EA Cloud servers? Are you reaching your max processing capacity? Heat issues maybe, lowering server performance?

    Same here except PS4.

I didn't try server switch yet. I've only done that when the amsterdam one had less or no packetloss.

@1ronKeys London is about 78 ping and 0 packet loss, with amsterdamnot far off that, maby 80 and 0, so not much difference really.

Have you tried resetting your ps4 completely and reinstalling your games? It might help. I have often wondered, with all the huge amd many updates we get, that the drives on these consoles must get very defragmented and possibly have bad sectors, but we have nothing to sort those sorts of problems out like on a pc.

@OldTreeCreeper i usually get 23-45 as the London one. Yeah onetime i switched to Amsterdam and had better gameplay.

I dunno... i would do that, but I'd lose all my captures, and not keen in doing so haha.

@OldTreeCreeper I tried it before but i think someome gave me a broken drive. I'm tempted to try, but it's a heccckkk load of files haha. Wish i had the guts to just wipe em all. Haha

@1ronKeys you haven't filled the drive with captures have you? My son did that on a new pc with a huge drive. 😃

    @OldTreeCreeper 👀 shhhh

Pretty much. But i have over 500gb free space. And console will tell me there's no space to load a game or install update.

Have an external for all my games now so no update issue.

@1ronKeys i had an old windows visa pc that i kept going for years and its still useful.

I ran windows from one drive (boot) with no data on that drive. This drive i defragmented the fragmented files as windows updates, about once a month and the whole drive about every 6 months. Keeping the files defragmented made a significant difference to the  running speed of windows. What i had discovered is that if a drive was over 50% full of both Windows and data, there was a significant slow down.

I used 2 other drives, salvaged from sky boxes, 1 for programs and 1 for data. I didnt defrag the data drive and only defragged the program drive on updates.

I used ccleaner to keep the rubbish on the drives under control  and windows cleaner to get rid of obsolete updates.

I used a usb as readyboost to pep things up a bit too.

I updated windows from vista to W10.

Maby it would help you to do something similar, run the games from the console memory only and the captures onto an external drive, as in my mind the other way round has to be slower.

@OldTreeCreeper Yeah man i hear you. I would have probably preferred to do it that way. Just at the time convenience meant doing it the way I did.

Was also tempted to buy a new internal drive. But cba to figure out the back n forth atm and also dunno if worth risking it espesh new consoles coming.

Sony even recommended making an external backup and putting it back on after reformatting. But if it was a software issue it would remain surely??

@1ronKeys Sorry, I dont know enough about your ps to comment on the running software.

But if you reformat the drive and put everything back on I think you would be in the same situation. If you just put the running software (like windows) and just your 2 or 3 favorite games back on the main drive i think you would notice a performance improvement. Everything else on the external drive inc captures.

@1ronKeys Do you ever run the database rebuild on your ps4? It is essentially a defrag for the ps4 and you do not lose anything. I'd do it once in awhile. It does seem to help me.
