Re: EA SUPPORT HELP PLS

You're contradicting yourself pretty badly here. You claimed originally you cannot receive the e-mail, but now you claim that you do, and have it re-activated for a week.

A lot about this story doesn't make sense, and a playstation, or payment card credentials are not valid proofs of account ownership.

Ok you're a troll lmao. I mean if there's a credit card linked to the account and I can prove I own it why would the card be on there if I didn't own it? Also I said the confirmation email isn't sending through? I click send verification email and nothing comes through to the email account ? Understand? I said I can't get sent the confirmation email. Not I can't get into the email account lol.

Oh wait, I see what you mean, your phrasing there was a tad ambiguous

"The email verification won't send to my email so I can't change anything on my account."

That can be read as "the email verification won't send to MY email [someone else's]"

I'd say try opening an online ticket before even attempting a call, generally speaking this yields better results, meanwhile, make sure to change your account's email address to a permanent address you own, instead of your old uni account, and give sending the email verification another try.

In case you're actually AT university grounds, or on any public internet, things may get firewalled, and worse, public internet like on a campus is very vulnerable, cheap programs can allow basically anyone to intercept data.

So make sure to do this on a more secure home network.

    Good luck. @caughtintheact

P.s. this forums top author isn't trolling.

@Wingmannedbro Ohhh I see. Hey man that's my bad yeah sorry. I see how that was worded poorly haha oops. I did actually create a ticket but they resolved it without even replying. So I'm at a loss for everything now and don't know what to do

Yeah my bad for misreading it also, there's have been some sketchy posts in the past. You said you need their help to retreive your account, can you elaborate?.

If you're in control of the email address, shouldn't you still be the owner of the account? Or did you try changing the email adress away from the deactivated email adress to a new addess already, but it asked for email verification first?

Regardless, I may wanna call in the cavalry here @EA_David & @EA_Blueberry

Hey, unfortunately we can't directly intervene and we'll need to refer to to chat, but they should be able to help.

    https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/?product=origin&platform=pc&category=manage-my-account&issue=restore-account&isChannelSelection=true

(This channel is open right now but if you come back later and it's closed, you can change the region by clicking the flag drop-down menu in the top right)

This link should allow you to open a chat, but the current wait is listed as 34 minutes, so be sure to have another task to hand.

It sounds like you'll have these already, but the sort of info that's good to keep on hand for such contacts is:

    1. the original email address on your EA Account
    2. any usernames or console IDs (ex. Xbox Live gamertags or PlayStation™ Network Online IDs) tied to your EA Account
    3. any invoice numbers from games you’ve bought through Origin, or Product Codes for your games.

Sorry that I can't help directly, but hopefully your next contact goes a bit smoother

@Wingmannedbro Ok so I'll give a run down real quick. My email account is associated with my old university email. I wasn't able to access that email till recently cause i contacted the uni and they activated it for me. I can still log into the EA account of course though but when I go to change email or turn on verification it comes up with "enter security code sent to your email" but it just isn't sending anything at all. I only have a week to access my uni email so I need to change it to my current email.

    @caughtintheact

If the account information page requires you to enter a security code this probably means it's being sent. But it may not actually arrive at your uni address.

Are you trying this on campus? Open internet on campus is likely to firewall emails/data from outside of campus, or not coming from a whitelisted source such as college faculty.

@WingmannedbroNah I'm doing this all from my mobile data or home network 🙂

Oke, I know this is dumb question and all but I gotta ask, you did check spam/junk folders right?

I assuming you did, is it possible to set up a redirection on the uni address to redirect everything to your personal address? Could give that a whirl.

@Wingmannedbro Yeah hahaha I did don't worry. I've been checking literally everything. I've set up a forwarding and redirect to my personal email but still nothing. And once my uni closes my email again it'll stop working anyway. I'm still just shocked about the phone support today like I'm just confused to why EA said they couldn't hear me and then hung up and the fact I called on different phones and got the same result blows my mind.

@Wingmannedbro Hey man can you let me know the phone number to call and or give them a ring and see if you're experiencing the same thing. Cheers

Don't think so, i'd be having to call from abroad, besides, contact information is going to vary by country.
