- @Eshshshss You seem to like adding 1 + 1 and getting 73, lol.
Why can't EA ban people for hacking AND for using offensive language? They are doing exactly that. Instead of worrying about the other person getting banned (which they would be if you had reported them instead of venting yourself), learn the lesson and mute yourself.
Yes, you can stand and fight if you want, but you will get arrested with the other guy if you do. Smart people walk away. - @Eshshshss It’s better to be the bigger person by just muting, reporting and just quitting the game to get it over with and move on rather than getting banned for a week. Also, don’t suggest using cheats.
@hayhor I am sure that was the instance. But you are right, the system does not seem to care about what happened in the past, so the absolute right thing is to report and just leave or just be quiet for the rest of the game trying to ignore.
@LaughingSharko- I am not so sure what you mean by that - however this instance was no venting from my side since that what was happened the last time, so I was very care ful. Not careful enough, to repeat what the other say just with the word and a question mark, was really just what I said originally, not directed hate speech as EA thinks it is. Also - on my screen I cannot see the person you refer to " @Eshshshss " .
@hayhorI actually was very surprised how the system works, if I got banned for just typing a leading question where my only reason was to give them the possibility to apologize or just confirm so there is no mistakes when EA checks to logs. But with this outcome, I start to think - that this system is AI-based or just a program that handles most but all the initiation problems. Thinking back to one instance before where I got warned, where I thought human people should be able to read or have the recordings where they utter those bad words, but no - EA decided to keep that warning on my profile, and I am still against that warning. However - in that previous instance I vented back.
- @Kwadwo-san Cause his post was deleted again.
- @Cheese9Man oh ok 🙂 Again, you mean it is normal that people add it and then just delete it, making it hard to follow the thread? Or is it EA system that deletes it?
@Kwadwo-sanWhat I question is why don't the developers at Respawn make a profanity filter for chat. Hey Respawn devs, hang a note up by your bed and every moring read the note out loud: "Why do we chose banning players left and right, instead of having a profanity filter THAT ACTUALLY PROTECTS PEOPLE FROM ATTACKS?" You Respawn devs... smh.
Respawn YOU made the game and so you have to take responsibility of players getting ramped up, frustrated and angry at eachother. Its HUMAN. So YOU have to take responsibility for players attacking eachother on YOUR platform. Take this responsibility in a more protecting manner. Banning players isn't good enough and the way you execute it affects normal and innocent players as well. Do your homework.
- @Kwadwo-san I'll give you a tip for the future. What you can say that will never get you banned is:
"Excuse me?"
or
"Are you talking to me?"
Then, if the person repeats something offensive, just report them. Feel feel to type "reported" in chat if you want. Just that. Mute them. Report them. Let them enjoy their vacation and you keep playing the game happily. - @Ingeniekey This is like saying that soccer stadiums are responsible for when certain fans start a riot against other fans. Doesn't make sense, sorry.
- @LaughingSharko Nothing beats scaring the abuser that his account will get banned. LOL!
- @Cheese9Man Yep. Sometimes I don't even report them, if it's not a big thing. But it's funny how quickly the other player shuts up after that.
@LaughingSharkoYou misunderstand. I'm saying devs are indirectly responsible for players attacking and actually being attacked. Because their lack of having a profanity filter is with your analogy like not having security or police preventing riots at a game. You can't just make a bonfire in the woods then ban anyone setting the forest on fire. The forest is allready on fire. Do you get it now? Its the devs fault people are actually being attacked in the game. They also create a toxic and rage inducing game environment.
- @Ingeniekey I think you have a valid point, I think they could easily do a chatfilter. But not only that, really - what is the point having such a short maximum field for the text, and what is up with that cutting of sentences just because there is a game scene switch? This game scene switch even affect the sound when actually on the mic. Well - back to the point you have - I cannot agree more, but perhaps they just want people to behave exactly how they want, otherwise you need to purchase new games which you loose when you are banned.
- @LaughingSharko Yes I have learned my lesson. I shall follow this example, and believe me - I have already thought of it after this nightmare. On the other hand - I cannot say it is something wrong with just repeating the bad word with a question mark, well - that is how this system works - so yes I will go this way, if there is another time at all for me.
this whole system is a joke!
They only regard bad people with this. Why? Cause I can do nothing against the bad guy that gives me some peace. Report is for people who always call for their mama.
No we can't even express our anger with words.
I also got just a warning, cause I abuse some guy, after he was destroying Lobas market as I still was looting it. Why the hell he does that at first?
What should I do with such a smart person. Can't kill him in game, can't abuse him, can't do anything then accept his doings.
So how should this guy ever learn that he has done something VERY stupid and wrong. That's our society now. You are not allowed to abuse someone even if he is doing bad things.
I dont have time to sit with him for an hour and explain him how the world works and how to play nice. sorry! He does it on attention, so he knows that it is wrong.
At this point I would like to be able to punch people right into their face, if I am honest, some really deserve it.
I am not starting a game with the attention to abuse someone. Just wanna play and enjoy. But I can't understand how some teammates wanna harm their team.
- @II-LAZZARUS-II I think all people gaming have experienced this at least at some point, neither I; understand those people that spend the most of their time just to irritate people and ruin for everybody and utter thinks like "I do not care a ...", or "what are you going to do about it". But I have accepted that there is just those people around there, like everywhere. And you are not allowed to even respond to it, not even by just a leading question.
- @Kwadwo-san For sure there is some automation in this. It is why I say dont say anything.
- @Ingeniekey I'd like to see a filter also to stop some of what is typed but at the end of the day the person is responsible for what they type.
- @II-LAZZARUS-II What could you do with that loba? Leave the game. It really is simple. Over the weekend I had a 10 year old yelling and swearing at me on the drop as he ran with me and I was picking stuff up he wanted. So I ran away from him, dropped all the stuff and quit. In another game I had a guy rush in and die and then start fbombing over and over at me as I tried to isolate and kill the enemy team 1 by 1. After winning the fight I left. I'm not helping people like this to wins.
@hayhorwell it was not Loba who closed her market. It was the Octane guy, destroying it infront of me. That's what made me angry. He could just go away, nobody was attacking us. But no. So I have no clue what he was thinking.
And it was a ranked match, so I couldn't leave without getting the penalty. That's the other thing.
After that he said, he is going to report me. I said, do it, cause I knew that I never got reported before, so I thought ok, I am going to get a warning, so what.
Must say they are fast at EA. All of this happened on Saturday evening, on Sunday afternoon i got the warning mail from EA.- @II-LAZZARUS-II wow. yeah, i'm glad the system is in place with people who have that point of view around.
- @hayhor I know, and I shall, since I cannot have it like this .... not able to be using my account for ... yeah for this.
@LaughingSharkois this so...well you should think more about it.
there is a reason why I am not reported as often as others.
For you: because I am not that kind of guy, who is abusing others every day for nothing.
But everyone has its BreakEvenPoint, and in this case it's not positive as it is from a company side of view.
And then you have to handle the echo on your own. Instead of running to your mama (EA) and report people, if you are the one who started all of it.I always ask normal first, and when the other guy is talking like a human without a brain, then my answer is the same way.
It depends also in what mood I am. Once one guy asked me if I am stupid. I answered him: Well at least I am something 😃 what are you?
- @II-LAZZARUS-II Wishing you could punch people in the face for something that happens in a video game should be your first clue something is wrong.
