I can guarantee that this game is 100 times more fun and tolerable with friends. We destroyed this lobby. Finally got the 3k badge on my main! Sadly it wasn’t a win and we choked at the end! 😭🤣

@Eshshshss I didn't quite catch your point about my post. I rarely play solo queue in this game and when I do, I always get bad teammates and that is not uncommon to all of us if you play pubs. It's impossible to communicate with these randoms since no one uses a mic in Japan and a lot of other asian countries also play in our servers (Koreans/Chinese/FIlipinos etc) with different languages. I just don't expect randoms to stick with the team in all team fights. And if ever the whole team got split up, the least that they can do is at least win their 1v1 hence the post. I'm not saying that 1v1 is better than true team play. No where in my post have I said to 1v1 everyone. These are pub games not the ALGS.

How did I just promote that by sharing games that I had fun in? I was not aware that the rare occurrence of having fun playing solo queue in this game can be so controversial and that promotes 4k 20 bomb "badger". Also there's nothing wrong with badges. You may use one or not. You do you.

@BaldWraithSimpit's not about feeling bad or being able to get a high damage/kill game, my point was that you should not brag/flex about that fact because all you did is push some kids over in their playground.
We are all part of the community and people follow the example - if we post screens as Cheeseman did and brag about it, receive 100 likes for it bla bla bla community will follow because they see that other members appreciate it.
And then you get exactly what you said - people go into pubs, get games like that, and then join in "warmed up" to Platinum or Diamond lobbies with the same mentality and ruin someone's game because they are bad/can't play ranked with the same attitude.
Somehow people tend to contradict with themselves - they want to brag and flex about pub games, 4k and 20 bomb badges, yet at the same time they complain about brainless random players, people playing ranked the same way as pubs etc. Yes, what would you expect if you lead by such example? If Cheeseman would post a ranked game where he would have won the game with 5 kills in total <4k damage in total for the team, yet gained 100+ RP, my comments would not be present here and that would show in my opinion the real leadership this community needs.
p.s. If you enjoy pushing kids around, in my opinion, you should ask yourself a question "what kind of person am I".
@EshshshssI see bad teammates in ranked who can't win fights because they spend most of their time looting in pubs just as much as I see hardstuck hot droppers/solo pushers.
To get better in aim duels you have to take as many fights as you can in casual against whoever you come across regardless of their skill level. So that automatically means you will score higher the better you get, and satisfaction/fun comes with it.
I have no idea how this discussion went to 'what kind of person am I'. Is this an appeal to morality?
@BaldWraithSimpI don't agree with this assumption of infinite growth = if I play a lot and fight a lot I will get stronger and score higher. In that case, all the bullies in the world would be world champions of martial arts.
In reality, your progress will always be relative to competition and win/success/score rate will always be a function of how much others progress.
Thus you might have a case where you train, fight yet keep losing or not winning more.
Getting back to my point - if you regularly experience a trend of ever-increasing "fun" from slicing through lobbies, especially in public games, then you have to ask yourself a question are you playing vs lower-ranked players and enjoy pushing them over or you are just a boy/girl genius who has infinite growth trend/super progress in comparison to similarly skilled players.
In my experience the "normal" curve in ranked games go something like this:
- you first come into the game and get owned, because you don't know anything about it, no fun at this point, just pain
- over time if you invest the time you get the basics down, at this point you start to feel like you at least belong, some fun starts to appear
- over longer time again investing time and targeted effort you go above "average" player in Apex terms that would probably be like lower Diamond rank, here I would say a player would reach the most fun per game
- then you hit the wall where you either don't have all the tools or information or both to go above and beyond in Apex terms - no set squad to play with daily, lack of competitive hardware, lack of information about the game mechanics like recoil etc., here again fun is close to 0, usually majority of players give up here
- for those who make it somehow past the previous point, I guess comes the top of the top-level (never been there) and satisfaction, the fun of being able to flex about it and objectively beat most of the players in-game on regular basis - must be fun for some.
The point where a player would flex in my opinion is only the last one, because you played them all, you won them all, if you can beat best of the best and have 4k 20 bomb game - sure flex away, you are the best, no doubt about it.
For those who flex before that flexing is always a moral decision as you always flex on the expense of someone who lost and those losers might be just new players/much weaker players = you kill their motivation, promote the community to flex on "kids" as streamers in Apex call everyone in the game nowadays.
@EshshshssNever said anything about 'infinite growth', the only way to get better is to take fights was my point. Those high scores are so rare, it takes seasons to even beat my last one. That's an achievement for me, that I performed better than I used to and it took so long to get there. I will surely make a post if I ever(no chance) get a legit 4k badge, same way I was happy about making it to diamond for the first time.
I kill someone, somebody else kills me. That's the point of the game, I don't feel any inferior if I see someone posting his high score(doubt anyone does). You are reading too much into it, in my opinion.
As for the new players/weak players, it's been suggested to limit demotion stacking since eternity in ranked(pubs is free for all). I would be overjoyed if they don't send me below Gold, would save me some time in my grind.
I really don't get the point of calling enemies kids, I squirmed when I hear zachmazer/tfue use it in every sentence
