- @LilMooseKnuckl pretty sure either after Halloween or when the season ends.
Not too sure because I know that these types of events don't last very long. These events r garbage

The maps and special effects are cool, what I hate about it is I can't see the enemies. It's so dark and the enemies blend in with the background and I lose more fights. I wish they would keep the candy idea as a way to charge the armor all the time though.

Not sure about this. In regular play you can evo your armor with damage, by crafting it up, or by finding a good shield on the ground. With candy there's less incentive to fight and more incentive to loot. That suits me down to the ground but I'm pretty sure the other 99.99999% of players will have a problem with it. - AymCTL3 years agoSeasoned Ace@reconzero I think that's kinda my laziness as a newbie coming out I like the idea to get better shields without working for it, but I can see the point of view as a veteran player that it slows down the pace of the game if people are looking for candy instead of fighting to raise the shield.
When I first started I did solo no fill duos and would just rat to the end and try to fight the last 3 teams or so. So I would have liked something like the candy back then since I couldnt fight, but now I'm starting to play with trios and taking a more active approach to playing, so I can see there is a problem if everyone who got good rng with the candy has red or gold shields and someone gets stuck with blue armor and has to fight them it becomes a mismatch. - @reconzero What if they removed all shields from the floor and left candy type things that built your shield. Only there would be less of them than now.

Oh, I'm right there with you. I'd much rather find a shield or craft a shield than try to evo one by fighting early game. It's "the others" I worry about. You know who I mean: the kids that literally start to shake if they go more than fifteen seconds between engagements. This game is riddled with them.
Kudos to you for your duos no-fill strategy. It's a good way to learn, imo, and anyway there's no fight in the game that's worth a tinker's damn until there are only three squads left. Anything prior to that is everything-to-lose-and-nothing-to-gain.
@hayhor
If we still had the option to craft them, and if it meant that the ground loot got better without the clutter and waste of a million level one shields like we have now... then maybe. Just maybe. The only positive outlook from this is that it’s only limited until next season.
Other than that I wish they can come up with a better idea for Halloween.
For next Halloween they should create a game for zombies in Apex (which I think they already have done before)

It was cool at first but I got tired of not being able to see the enemies as well. Made it tougher to finish in the top 10 of a match. I just started doing more Mixtape matches and more Ranked but ranked has gotten more difficult.
