Re: Klowndikebar inappropriate persona name??

The definition  for the word d.i.k.e means 1.

a long wall or embankment built to prevent flooding from the sea.

2.

a ditch or watercourse.

Being forced to change my name because it's close in spelling to some other word  seems wrong/unfair am I crazy? Ugh this seems so silly but I must be missing something here... the system didn't block me from making the name or anything..

    @KlownDiKeBar Yes I aware what that is. But don't forget a different spelling of that word is a derogatory term for homosexual women.
    While I don't see the issue with the name. Someone probably got the wrong idea and thought your name meant 'silly gey bar'

    Well I definitely never meant it in any other way than what it is... the combination of my klowns and my favorite ice cream lol. Ugh oh well I guess the silly sensitive non sense will probably prevail

    @KlownDiKeBarim sure you didn't. they should have just given you a warning and asked you to change it, especially seeing how they didn't do anything to prevent you from doing it in the first place. Even then I've seen worse names roaming around.

    You will need to speak to our Terms of Service team @KlownDiKeBar.

    If you believe that they have actioned you mistakenly then I would recommend laying out as much info as to the name as you can.

    It is important to remember that a name that may appear perfectly acceptable to one person may be offensive to another for any number of reasons.

    The process to contact our ToS team can be found here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

    1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
    2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
    3. Choose your platform.
    4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
    5. Fill out any other details below.
      • For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
    6. Click Select contact option.
    7. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

    @EA_Darko I did. Sent an email with pictures of Klondike bars and and an explanation and definition of each word in the persona name and asked for an explanation as to where to the offense is but I've been met with automated unhelpful responses... you would think after spending 3000+ hours apexing and hundreds of dollars invested in to the tos team would spend a minute to justify my appeal. Im sure they would see that this is clearly a mistake but sadly... nope.

    Hey @KlownDiKeBar if our TOS team has denied your appeal then there is nothing we can do to change this.


    While the email may feel automated it was investigated by a member of our team.

    There is nothing more we can do to assist, as such I am closing this thread and would recommend that you not use that username again.
