Re: Need solos and duos ranked with pubs

@dSKyNafinchin I think the reason regular cod and other games like it had many modes is they weren't BRs so there were less players. In a BR you have bigger lobbies.

Now you might say well warzone lobbies are bigger and they have solos, duos, trios, quads and usually a rotating ltm. I think EA/Respawn put a huge emphasis on instant queues to keep players playing. Warzone queues take longer but they dump you into a pregame mode so you don't notice. Apex could do similar.

As for the soloing trios, I've tried to do it in duos but I find duos harder as the teams in it are almost always holding hands. Trios is more chaotic and easier to get involved without being singled out. Well until you get to end game and get annihilated by a 3 stack who then tbag your box, which happens to me a lot.

  • @hayhor Ah, very good point. Roughly 8 people per lobby, can cover a lot more lobbies than 60 people per lobby. I didn't think about that.

Now that you mention it, you're right about the pregame part. I haven't played much Warzone, but PUBG does the same thing with a pregame gathering. Queue times are definitely longer than Apex, but being able to fight other players for a minute or so, makes it seem a lot shorter than it really is. I get into lobbies on Apex, faster than any other BR I have played. Plus, I have no idea how the average concurrent Apex player count looks, when compared to CoD.

Haha man, I'm always embarrassed for stacked teams when they do that to me, as a solo death for the win. Personally, I don't get much satisfaction out of being on the winning side of that, but I guess, to each, their own? I might have to give no-fill trios another try. I tend to try to get the win via sneaking like I said, but the percentage of success doesn't really pan out, so I stay away from it. If I just prioritize 3rd'ing fights early on, it might work better for me
