Re: Okay, we need to NERF Wattson

They should probably put that guy back in his box and not allow him to interact with the player base any longer.

I can't remember the last time a fence really influenced a game I was playing at all.

@Piabetic I have used them to win fights. I don’t main her but I play frequently. People just don’t use fences right. They are an obstacle, a way to control the flow of a fight, nothing else.

If you wuick the fences they are a great tool.

@Piabetic What they mean by fence influence is, what do you do when you see a Wattson fence in the direction you were thinking about going? Do you continue to run through it or do you change course & go around it? Her fences allow her to control an area & subliminally influence decisions. Sometimes it works really & other times it doesn't but either way if a good Wattson main uses this influence very strategically it can help turn fights in your favor if she's on your team.

That being said she still needs a buff.

@Lord_Scorpion34  that's the thing though, like I said initially there just aren't that many places where you can utilise the fences well....so they're not guiding the gunfight as they should be. Most end circles are in places with heavily limited cover for starters.

The point you're making holds true on the old KC/WE maps, so she'll probably see better results for the next couple of weeks but otherwise it just ain't the case lol.

I know you're not disagreeing btw, just offering a counter point to that whole "she influences the fight theory"

@MandatoryIDtag I guess I should've added she's like Rampart in the fact that someone has to really know what they're doing to get the most out of her. I can't say for sure how often the final ring lands where. But her ult comes in clutch if you're facing any Legend with a projectile/explosive ult or tactical in the final rounds as well. So even if you don't have use of her fences in some situations you have that. As open as Olympus is, basically all of the POIs have some sort of structures which mean you can still use her fences to influence the fight if you're in a major POI. But again you have to have someone who knows how to use her. She's not a noob friendly Legend which would also make sense why her pick rate isn't too high.

@Lord_Scorpion34 They should just remove all of the random crap inside buildings that stops you putting fences down or interrupting stuff. Idk why she got nerfef in the first place. She got a point where she was strong then she took a nose dive with all the other legends. Heck it. Buff her ult I wanna see Shadows jump padding in getting zapped back to the totem. Insta kill.

Didn't they say that her fences weren't being crossed in high ranking/lvl lobbies xD Doesn't that say enough? And to answer your question I either shoot it down or climb to another route.

@Lord_Scorpion34 I can see how it could be good. My comment came from a pretty casual point of view though as I rarely play ranked and certainly not to a high level so I undoubtedly don't see the best Wattsons around. For me, I can never seem to tempt anyone to ever walk through a fence no matter how well I think I place them.
  • @GH0STEDbyME That random stuff inside of buildings is exactly what is wrong with wattsons tool kit, you cannot place her fence nodes in good locations because of all of the clutter in the way
