@hayhor I disagree with what you said to heme725. If the person you're talking to is a bad player, they can't get better aim or use a better keyboard because you want them to play more. 

I think you should explain your own thoughts in more detail before criticizing the ideas of others. How would you like it to be? if you're happy with the current SBMM, just say so.

You don't have to criticize ideas that don't agree with you or defend EA.

Funny statement there, "Why is SBMM not working properly?". How do you know it is not working properly? none of us here on the forums know how it works and what all EA uses to calculate this. 

We all have our own opinions about why we think the current MM is not that good. We all have our own ideas on how we would like to see MM work and or what goes into it.

I have to agree with @hayhor and his/her statement and what is thought to be part of the MM and how it should be based. 

My thoughts are MMR should consist of the following factors.

1. Avg. KDR over last 100 games.

2. Avg. damage dealt last 100 games.

3. number of games won in the last 100 games.

4. number of top 5 games last 100 games.

5. Avg. placement last 100 games. 

5. Highest rank in the current season.

6. Highest rank in the last season. 

Premade squads would have to factor the averages of the stack and play vs other premades of like averages and then fill with other like randoms. 

Would my above suggestion work? probably not as there is probably much more than I suggested that needs to go into MM. 

I may not fully understand or like the way the current SBMM works but I can not say it is not working properly.

I mean why doesn't it work? I actually tried to explain in my first post. Let me explain it again or better ask.

I have 1500+ playing time. I've been reaching diamond rank for the last 4 seasons. (BR and Arena). On average, I do 2K or 3K damage in a BR game. In the arena, this value is 3K or 4K.

Due to the country I live in, the average access time is 60ms-80ms. (I could be better)

Right now, whenever I enter the game (I am currently in diamond rank.), the teammates that the game automatically assigns to me are silver rank players or gold rank players. The enemies that the game automatically assigns to me are usually 500 level and diamond or platinum rank. The problem isn't just rank. It's okay if my auto-assigned teammates are low rank. The main problem is that my teammates can't really play the game. some can't choose weapons. some don't know the map. some of them can't hit the enemies in front of them. Automatically the game gives me such teammates. Enemies are really good. Playing 1 vs 3, we win if I can kill the opposing team. Otherwise, I'm losing again. I'm starting to feel like a babysitter. 

Do you think this is normal? If you were faced with such a situation, would you say SBMM is working?

you do understand that Diamond and above players make up only about 2.5% of the player base. Good for you that means you are very good at this game and better than 97.5% of anybody you will play against or with.  

I agree that the further up the ladder you go or the better you are that MM can be problematic. Would the alternative be to have Diamond only lobbies?  I think not as your wait time to play a game would be frustratingly long. Could the SBMM be made better I really could not answer that question as I really do not know how it works.

You will probably have to play with lower skilled players as well there are not to many at your skill level or higher.

This problem is not just for me or only for diamond rank. Many people on the forum have mentioned this issue. There's more on Reddit. If the system does not give me a suitable teammate while giving me a suitable opponent. I think there is an error somewhere. I'm trying to draw attention to this issue, I would be glad if you support it.

@Asmodeus566I know as much as you can't play with Silver or actually below platinum players at least in BR mode as soon as you hit Diamond (the only thing that makes me do it as I rather play vs Pred/Masters than with Silvers and Gold).

Also, your argument about 2.5% should not be valid if the provided stats by the official sources are correct (I have a feeling that someone is boosting their yearly results to gain profits) - 100 million of players 2.5% = 2.5 million, evenly distributed around the world's 24 timezones and Apex's 48 servers that still leaves = 2.5 mil / (24*48) = ~2000 players pers timezone per server. Go deeper into daily routines and say 1/3 plays during the day / midday evening / night and you still should get 500-600 active players = 10 full lobbies at any time any place basically. Clearly that is not the case so something be it stats or SBMM is incorrect here 🙂

Also let's not forget that Platinum players are like ~20-30% of the player base so above mentioned numbers should be so much more boosted given that Diamonds should be able to get into Plat lobbies if there is a shortage of players.

@EREGDSCurrent rank? Isnt that what ranked is for? So a person that made pred and then stops playing and is now in bronze should be with bronzes? This is how ranked is now and new players have horrible experiences because of it.

I guess I didn't explain the main part of the question. Only my teammates are low level (low rank low K/D etc.). Not enemies. (my enemies are strong opponents that always suit me.)
This problem is not just for me. Many players are facing this issue.

@Asmodeus566I was with you until you said punish premades. That's my single biggest grip with sbmm. It punishes squadding up badly. When I play with randoms I can deal with the new players I get on my team. But when I'm with a friend and the lobbys become ridiculous it seems wrong. Now think about what happens when 3 people relatively low level join up on this game and they get fed to the preds, just because they wanted to play together on a team game. It is wrong.

I asked before, you didn't answer, I'm asking again.

I absolutely have no problem with Diamond and above only lobbies or just Diamond only lobbies. I will never be that good and then I would never have to get lasered by them. The would not have to carry a predominantly Gold/Plat4 player. 

You also have to consider in your math that not all players will be palying/queing up in the same game mode. Trios, Ranked BR, Duos, Arena and Ranked Arena. That would put you at about two full lobbies and well how many games start at the exact same time to fill you in one of those two lobbies. Wait time or fill with others it does not look like any other option.

I think you misunderstood me. I do not want premade teams punished. 

Example 1 gold level 200 player and his two fairly new friends Level 30 Bronze and Level 100 Silver play a pubs game. The should be pitted against 3 stacks of roughly the same skill level and makeup when there are not stacks to fill the lobby then Randoms of roughly the same skill level fill up the rest of the lobby. They should never have to run into three stacks of Platinum or above like skilled players.

I agree with that and I think that is why we will get a Diamond level player/s or above in some lobbies and why Diamonds or above that solo que get lower ranked players assigned to them as an attempt to balance out the game. If we want to play with the same skilled players, people are going to have to find friends or acquittances to do that with.  If they want to play against same skilled then they will have to play ranked or hope for the best as they make up a very small percentage of the player base.
