I’m pretty disappointed in your response. Even still, I mean no disrespect.
I have and will continue to share my experience and matchmaking findings here on the forum. Maybe you’re unaware, but I have shared multiple experiments—across multiple account types, here on the forum.
When I play at full capacity, I occupy the top bucket of players (in pubs). Let me make this clear:
If a matchmaking system does not allow for downward mobility (losing matches grants easier lobbies), you end up locking players at the bottom of a bucket into a “fixed situation” where the rest of the people in said bucket beat them consistently.
Stay with me….
I have hit Masters every split except 3-4. I have solo queue twice to Masters. I am not great (Pred level), but I am certainly above average. The issue is: matchmaking drops me in the top bucket and I’m exclusively playing Preds and better Masters. So I (and plenty of other players) are locked into a situation where we lose more BECAUSE we are above average.
I don’t want to bully weaker players consistently, LMAO. That would be so lame. But I also don’t want outcomes that are similar to (and in some instances worse than) people who are less proficient than me. I think this is a TOTAL SANE AND FAIR expectation. Your outcomes should be in direct correspondence to your skill level (as it deviates from the average/median skill).
Just a question, do you spend money on the game regularly and if not, have you ever considered dropping some cash to see if it influences your testing / results? Very curious here. It seems you are in a perfect situation to verify this if you really wanted to.
- 2 years ago@blackeyeriver I have spent a lot on this game, lol.
- 2 years ago@Axs5626Sxa5001 and even during these "slumps" you didn't notice any difference when you did?
- r1ggedgame2 years agoSeasoned Ace@blackeyeriver some people including me expect this being a fact. compared my games with the games of my friend, who spend 10 times more money on the game. and he got far better lobbies in solo q, despite spending the same amount of time and being roughly the same skill. he also got more win points (100 for him 12 for me ...) and less "penalty" for a loss (24 for him 96 for me) when playing together ranked arenas.
- 2 years ago@r1ggedgame Thats the old system, we're talking about the new system. Respawn has a patent on the idea of making lobbies easier for bigger spenders, iirc, but this Season it does not apply.
- r1ggedgame2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Twizted3k_tv makes no difference to me, rigged is rigged. the whole competitive approach is for the trashcan , no matter if "new" or "older" systems

Username checks out 😉
I mean sure, I can absolutely see the logic in it and I hear whispers about it here and there so I was just curious about op's experience.
So far I haven't seen anything that would sway me to this side or that side of the fence. But, at the same time I've seen players - ex preds, streams, videos, clips etc that don't impress me yet those players go far up the stats ladder in this game. Makes one wonder since according to themselves they own almost every cosmetic in the game or at least a lot of them. Might be coincidence, and I'm not making any claims, but I thought it's at least worth looking into since I've actually never seen an actual video or test on it in this game. I know this though - that no company wants to lose the whales. Some are open about it some are not.
