There's a difference. Also, why would they end a season/series before the drop off the next?

Makes absolutely no sense and there was never any word that this was going to happen.

Something needs to be addressed.

I grinded so damn hard to hit predator.  I was so damn close. If I had known that the series was ending before the actual launch of the next, I would not be addressing it here.

I just honestly feel anyone who hit diamond 1, should be promoted.  I honestly feel like all the grinding I've done all series, was for nothing. 

Does anyone from EA even look at these?

Hey everyone.

Ranked series 2 has ended, it ran from 01 October 2019 till 03 February 2020.
What now happened is that we went in an off-season with ranked mode still enabled but you aren't able to score or lose any RP. (Ranked Points)

Some people thought maybe the Ranked Series 2 ran till the launch of season 4 but this is not the case.
I hope most of you got to the Diamond / Apex Predator rank tho for some sweet rewards. 

Hi Guys, I had the same issue.

Yesterday (3 Feb 2020) I bought the battle pass to unblock the legendary skin of pathfinder (level 25).

When I bought it I was at BP level 23 and the countdown in the lobby was showing 1 day remaining to next season. I started to play and reached level 24, but suddenly at 21.00 (eastern EU timezone), I couldn't earn points anymore. 9 hours before the season end, I ended at BP level 24, without the skin that I wanted.

I knew the season was going to end and that's ok. What is not ok is that the season ended before without any notice or warning. I paid money for BP because, according to the countdown in the lobby, I should have enough time to reach level 25. I was also ready to buy the last level using coins, but I hadn't the chance.

The notice of an early season-closing should have been sent to the players.

If so, what kind of answer is that?

That's totally not acceptable for people who've spent a lot of time and some, money, just to be told pretty much "oh well, too bad"? 

It seems to not be a small issue, they're are A LOT of people upset about this. 

Come on guys. If your complaining when you waited till the very last second you really have nothing to complain about. This battle pass was so easy to do I literally did it in 6 weeks doing the challenges. I know some can't get on everyday but you can't expect a developer to hold off on an update because someone is waiting till last second. Be real

It's not only about Battle Pass, it's about Ranked Leagues too. I planned to rank up yesterday and then realized it was already shut down.

For me it's not critical, but can be different (and it is) for other players as you can see. I think this information should have been published - just better for everyone.

@powerlungit's definitely about ranked mode. I'm in the position that I'm an extremely casual player. I work 60 hours a week and have kids. However, I've been a gamer for decades and work hard for accolades. I was already in diamond, but when respawn released that only series 1 & 2 ranked would keep their rewards permanently, that's when I started grinding HARD. Went from diamond IV to I in a couple days. Was well on my way to hit predator before midnight Feb 4, but it was cut short by almost 12 hours. Not acceptable.

It took me 4 months of casual playing just to hit diamond, I was extremely pleased with my performance and very excited to be able to be a mid 30's guy still pulling out the frags by getting AND keeping my predator rewards
