- @PholanxTTV So, you'd do it for free, you say? Let's see you apply here, then: https://www.respawn.com/careers/game-security-analyst-apex-legends
Heck Yeah sign me up. Id rather have a good time than be paid but if I do get paid? BONUS. Nothing brings me more Joy than seeing cheaters get served a nice bowl of justice. However I don't think I'm qualified for the job. since I don't know
- Experience with how online games work, including rendering, networking, and databases. (some understanding)
- Experience querying large datasets with SQL (no idea)
- Basic knowledge of a programming language that can be used for scripting, such as Python. (no idea)
However I know a cheater when I see one. So that's enough to sign me up right?
- @DoYaSeeMe Heck I'm of the same mindset as the OP if I had the relevant knowledge I'd be all over that myself! Getting paid to do it as well. NICE.
@ OP I say apply. You never know how much training you'd get on the job so it couldn't hurt to try. They don't tell us all of the details because people would look for ways to get around their system.
That's what I would have said, if reports did something. The option is there only to serve as an illusion.
- @PholanxTTV Well, a lot of people say they can spot cheaters easily, that's definitely not enough. I bet the majority of the cheater reports are false. You need to investigate further, even in cases that look obvious. No player should be considered guilty until PROVEN. To dig for proof, you need to be qualified. If you are really determined to fight cheating, nothing stops you from getting qualified for the job. And who knows, maybe they do have some sort of training program or they can recommend you one.
Oh I 100% watch people play after they kill me in suspicious manners. Like not missing by a shot? Ill give you a watch see if you do that again. Headshot me consistently while I’m bouncing all over the place? lets have a gander. Run straight to where i am hiding? Lets see some more.
All of my Accusations are justified, i save all my cheater clips, most Aimbots dont even have to aim at someone, bullets just magnetise to people and from my knowledge people can actually set how far away they need to aim from someone. Whether its a little or a lot bullets just always seem to hit.
Other cheats include Teleporting, ESP, and the good old actual aimbot that tracks them perfectly rather than magnetic bullets. I know a cheat when I see one.
