Worst BP for me, to date (I've been playing since S5).
Honestly, where do I start?
What I Don't Like:
1. Wraith skin. Not only is it *another* one (I like Wraith, Don't get me wrong, but come on...), but I just don't like it, in general. Mainly, I hate that she has the mask on her face instead of actually wearing it. It just looks dumb.
2. The Caustic and Octane emotes. They just don't tickle my fancy. I already have a Caustic emote I really enjoy. And this octane emote isn't any better than the other one I have. Which, I do not like.
3. Most of the Rare skins. Then again, that's been the case in Every BP I've bought. So, it's not the biggest deal to me. It's never been a deal breaker. It's just worth mentioning for sake of overall clarity, here.
What I'm On The Fence About
1. The Rampart skin. It's not terrible, but it doesn't make me go "Oh, my God, I want this pass!"
2. The Legendary Devo skins. Don't get me wrong, I like the gun. I even like the general skin, but I feel it would be much better served on the Spitfire. Nothing about it screams "Energy LMG" to me.
3. The Epic skins. Again, much like Rare, each pass has their "hits" and their "misses" for me. So, overall, It's not the biggest factor in whether or not I purchase a BP.
4. The loading screens and music packs. Again, some battle passes Have really good ones, others, not so much. So, it's a bit of a mix bag for me every time. Again, not much bearing on my overall opinion.
What I Like:
1. The Valkyrie emote.
2. The Holo Sprays.
And, That's pretty much it. I can't comment on the loot boxes, because I don't know what they will be. And the coins are pretty obvious.
Really, my biggest issue here is the things I should be excited about, I'm just not. I either don't like or am "on the fence" with most of the major draws, of this battle pass. Or at least the things that should be the major draws, I should say.
All in all, I'm just unimpressed. I've bought every other BP from S5 to S8 and I just don't see me getting this one. Yeah, I get my coins back, but there is a grind involved. If I don't like the stuff, why put the work in? My time could (potentially) be better used on other games or activities.
Now, before anyone gets on me about it, my only issue with S9 (at least at the time of writing this), is the Battle Pass. Don't get me wrong, the new legend sounds cool, so does the new weapon, and I want at least try Arenas, and all that. But, the main reason I do play each season as much as I do, is because of the BP. With it being just so lackluster for me, I can't really say how much I will really want to play this season. I'm predicting a decent amount at the start, because everything is still new then. And then I might dip it in and out, due to the Events (much like how I play Overwatch, these days).
So, yeah, while I don't think all of S9 will be bad, just because I don't like the BP, I do know it will affect how much I play this season. Which, is a shame. I wish it was better/appealed more to me.
